Authors Note: Yes it's another All Men Are Beast rewrite. Only Buffy is not dating Scott, Angel isn't insane when he gets out of hell he's not a vampire with a soul he's human when he comes out of hell. Yes I am absolutly obsessed with the idea of Angel being Human again, and I loved Lyssa's challange that involved when Buffy and Angel made love on her birthday he became human instead of evil, but unforatantly it's not like that this time.

Prologue

Buffy was patroling the woods like Giles had instructed her too see if their was another warewolf wreaking havoc so that Oz could be cleared of murder and she saw a blur running through the forest, she took out her stake and held it in her hand she saw the blur again and she ran after it and then ran into Angel. She was shocked Angel said "Buffy?" "Angel?" "Oh God!" Angel ran towards her and embraced her she was confused and murmered agains her hair "Oh God I've missed you so much!" Buffy melted into his embrace she hugged him back and said "I've missed you two but how can you still love me I killed you." "Shhh I'm not mad at you I could never hate you or stop loving you, you did what you had too."

"But I killed..." She said and burried her head in his chest and savored being held by him "I love you, I love you." "I love you too Buffy." She heard a steading thumping in his chest she said "Oh my God." Angel looked at her with love in his dark brown puppy dog eye's "What is it Buffy?" "Your heart is beating." He looked at her confused she took his hand and placed it over his chest and together they felt his heart beat.

He said "Oh God I'm human again!" "Yes, How though?" "I don't know." "The Powers That Be."

They heard a voice say Buffy and Angel turned around and saw a short badly dressed little man, Angel said "Whistler?" "Hay Angel man, The powers That Be made you human." "The who?" Buffy asked "The powers That Be." Whistler said again Buffy and Angel looked oddly at each other and Angel said "Who or what are the Powers That Be?" "The govern forces of the universe, they determine fates and destinies for all warriors, and you two are the Powers That Be's favorite warriors."

"Well how is Angel out of hell and human?" Buffy asked "Ya see princess when you put your ring down on the mansion floor the strength of yours and Angel's love got him out they no longer wanted him since he was loved and the Powers That Be, made Angel human because they felt like he suffered enough with first being cursed for an entire century and then him being in hell for hundreds of years they decided too make Angel human but still keep some of his skills like strength and Healing powers like I said before you two are the big guys' favorite warriors your stronger together then apart so Angel is human as well as a warrior, and Angelus is in hell for eternity too pay for his crimes, Angel still has his strength and healing powers."

"Is his curse still an issue?" Buffy asked wanting to be sure this wasn't just torture Whistler said "nah you two can get as pelvic as ya want that soul aint going anywere." Angel said "Thank you Whistler." "Don't thank me thank yourself."

With that he disapered. Buffy said "How does he do that?" Angel shook his head and said "I have no idea, I've always wondered that since I met him."

"How do you know him though?" Angel sighed he said "Okay this is wear the story gets long. Let's head back too the mansion and I'll tell you everything."

Angel put his arm around Buffy's shoulders and they walked towards the mansion.

Part 1

When they arrived at the mansion Angel put some wood into the fireplace and started a fire, Buffy was sitting on the couch and watched him light the fire gracefully. Angel said "Well start talking soon I'm just going to go put a shirt on." Buffy sat up she approched him and traced her hand and fingers over his muscular chest "You know you don't have too! I love looking at your bare chest!" Buffy lifted her head up and kissed him he kissed her back and said "Okay then I'll stay the way I am." "I can deal with that!"

They went back too the couch Buffy said "Okay so how do you know Whistler?" "Well, two years ago I was living as a bum in New York City bairly keeping myself alive by feeding off of rats, because it had already been nearly eighty year I got cursed."

"I was first cursed outside of Budhapest, Hungary in 1898 it was the night when Darla and I fed off of earthquake victims she called it 'like picking fruit off the vine' and after I got cursed I helped out during World War I in the underground obviously because I was still strong enough too I was fighting on the allies side, anyway a year before the war ended I arrived at New York City because I figured I could get a fresh start in America since my reputation or should I say Angelus' reputation wouldn't haunt me."

"So for the last nearly eighty years you were in New York City?" "Yeah eating rats sleeping in subway tunnels. Well one night I was hunting for my food...." "I still don't get why you didn't kill yourself after you got cursed." "I don't know I considered it when I got all the memories back of everything I had done, and I tried more then once but something always stopped me I guess because their must've been a reason that I was the way that I was, and it took me over two-hundred and forty years too learn, so anyway one night while I was hunting Whistler came up too me when I was getting food he was discusted with the way I was living my life and gave me a choice."

"Too continue living as a worthless bum or to become someone important in someones life, I wanted to know what he was talking about so he took me too Los Angeles and he showed me who the next chosen slayer was which at the time
as you. So when I saw you that bright afternoon when your first Watcher came up too you, I was in love with you when I first saw you and I knew that at that moment that everything I had done in my life happend for a reason too lead me too you, I watched you kill your first vampire I so despertly wanted too save you from it and then I fallowed you home and I watched as you talked too your mom and then them argueing in the hall and when you were in your bathroom I wanted nothing more then too comfort you and take away all your pain. So I reported back too Whistler and told him I wanted too help you so during the whole time you were in L.A. I was watching over you, protecting you in the shaddows and adoring you from afar."

Buffy smiled she flung her arms around Angel she kissed him and said "That is so sweet. You were my guardian Angel before I even met you!" Angel took her hand he kissed the back of it and said "and your the only women I have ever loved in my entire life." "Really!" "Yes!" Angel said he placed his hand on Buffy's smooth cheek "I love you Buffy more then anything." "I love you too."

Part 2

Angel kissed her she kissed him back they pulled away when they needed to breath he said "Buffy I just want you too know that everything Angelus said after..."

"Shh I know they weren't true, I figured that out when Jenny told me about the happiness clause. I knew you didn't mean them." "Buffy I want to give you better memories about that night." Buffy smiled she wrapped her arms around his neck and said "Well you know we can no curses', no vampirism no nothing. You up too it?" Buffy said her eye's full of passion. He smiled and said

"Oh yeah I'm defenently up for it." They stood up and Angel danced them towards his bedroom. When they reached it Angel cupped her chin with his hand and then kissed her she kissed him back and was about too lay her down he stopped she said "What is it Angel. Don't you want too?" "Of course I do, but the bed is covered with dust and I want too make love too you on a clean one." "Okay." Angel went to a linin closet that was in his or Angelus' bedroom he removed the other sheets and replaced them with clean ones.

Angel placed the clean sheets on the bed he said "Now it'll be better plus I want too have covers that smell of Drusilla I want your smell on them," Angel said and burried his head in her neck she beant her head back and closed her eye's as he kissed and sucked on it "Ohh Angel!"

He moved his lips back too hers and danced them the rest of the way too the bed he laid her down and then fallowed afterwards she giggled he laid her down and laid down after her and they continued kissing and their hands started groping and getting reaquianted with each others bodies, they laid nose to nose and just laid their looking into each others eye's for the longest time Buffy ran her fingers along his chin and cheek and said "Make love too me Angel." "I know but I'm going to take it slow and easy and worship you my goddess!" "I like that idea." He kissed her again and their was no talking for the next few hours.

Part 3

Afterwards they laid curled up in a tangle of limbs and blanket, Buffy had her head resting on his broad chest Buffy sighed in content, he had his arm around her shoulders and were lying under the blankets their bodies and heart beats slowly cooling down, Buffy sighed and said "That gives me such better memories!" Angel kissed her forehead and said "I told you I would make the experience better."

She traced her fingers along his chest over his beating heart "That's such a good sound! Thump-thump, thump-thump." He chuckled and said "Yeah it's pretty amazing huh!" She smiled lazily up at him and said "Oh yeah!" Buffy yawned and Angel said "Get some sleep my love." "You'll be here when I wake up right?" He tightened his hold on her shoulders and kissed the top of her forehead "Yes I will, now sleep." "Okay." Buffy got herself comfortable in Angel's arms and fell asleep while he just marveled at watching her sleep.

Angel had fallen asleep shortly after with his chin resting on her head and a smile and a look of peace, contentment and pure happiness and bliss on his face. He was so happy he got a second chance too live and too prove too Buffy just how much he loves her.

The next morning Buffy woke up she looked next too her and Angel kept his promise that he would wake up beside her he was already awake and watching her with a gorgeous smile on his handsome face. She kissed him and said "Last night was amazing!" "I only wanted to make better memories for you."

"Angel what about the gang if I tell them your back they'll most likely come hunting you down." "What do you want to do?" "I want to keep your return a secret for a while. Your still so weak from being in hell." "I know, but I promise you one thing when I get fully recovered the sex is going to get a lot better!" Angel said slyly she grinned and said "You mean it could get better then it already is?" "Oh yeah!" "I would love too find out but I have to go too school, I'll be your nurse."

"You so good at that!" Angel said Buffy kissed him and he reluctantly removed his arm from her shoulders she reluctantly got up and started dressing with Angel watching from the bed he laid on his side and watched her much to his enjoyment and hers. He rolled out of bed and reached into his dresser and pulled out a pair of leather pants, since it was all he could find, Buffy grinned at the site. She went over too him and placed her hand on his bare chest "You should wear leather pants more often! I love them."

He chuckled and said "Well I just might have too it seems too be all I can find here." "Well I how about after school I go too your old apartment and bring some clothes from their." "Do you still have the key I gave you?" She reached into her pocket and pulled out a single key dangeling from a key ring "Yes I do." She gave him a sweet kiss "I'll see you later!" Buffy said pressing a finger into his chest.

"You too." He kissed her and she kissed him and pulled away before she was any later then she already was going too be.

Part 4

Buffy was late she was lucky enough too arrive for at least the last few minutes of home room, and took her usual seat by Willow.

When the bell rang Buffy went too her first hour class, the day seemed to drag on forever, she couldn't wait until three o'clock when she could see her gorgeous newly human boyfriend again.

Buffy was walking too the library when she saw Willow and Cordelia coming towards her talking about something or other, Buffy was glad Willow had been a victim of Cordelia's countless times in the past and over the last few months they became really good friends and at times it seemed like all three of them were like sisters.

Willow and Cordelia came in step with the slayer and Cordelia said "Hay Buffy Willow and I noticed how different you look today, you know happier." "Yeah so what if I am." "Well usually your only like this whenever Angel is around, and he's in hell. Does that mean you have a new boyfriend?" Willow asked "Of course not, I have too tell you two something but you can't tell any of the guys or Faith." "It's about Angel isn't it?" Cordelia asked.

"Yeah it is. Let's go sit down." The girls walked up to the student lounge and sat down on the couch they took a seat on the couch and Cordelia said "So what do you want too tell us about Angel." "Well yesterday when I was patroling the woods like Giles asked me too, I saw a blur among the trees I fallowed it and I saw Angel."

Willow and Cordelia gasped and Willow said "I thought that Giles said once someone is in hell they can never come back." "Yeah! Was he like insane." Cordelia asked "No he was actually completely sane and the best part is he's human!" Willow and Cordelia gasped again and said "Human are you serious?" Cordelia asked, Willow said "Human as in, I can go out in sunlight and it won't kill me, I can eat human food and I have a heart beat." "Yup that pretty much sums it up." "Is his curse still an issue?" Cordelia asked "Nope his humanity has absolutly no loopholes he's still a warrior though." "Meaning what?" Cordelia asked "Meaning he still has his strength and healing powers Cordy." "Okay now this is the 1000 dollar question. How did he get out of hell?"

"It had something to do with The Powers That Be." "The Powers That Be?" Cordelia asked "The govern forces of the universe that determines fate and destinies for human. Anyway this old friend of Angel's." Her two best friends looked at her oddly she said "Oh not that old at least I don't think so, well he told us that Angel got out of hell because the demons in hell didn't want him anymore since he was loved, because I set my claddagh ring on the mansion floor and The PTB otherwise known as The Powers That Be." "What about patrol last night?" Willow asked "Willow don't worry Oz is cleared of murder." "How do you know was their another warewolf, no I just came out of Platt's office he was mulled the same way Jeff was." "So that means it's a killer in the day monster." Cordelia said "Yes Cordy!" "Thats great Oz is cleared." "Yeah I can't wait to tell him." Willow imiedetly sat up and went too look for Oz.

Cordelia smiled and she hugged her and said "That is so great, I'm happy for you Buffy!" Cordelia said "I can't go see him until I tell Giles about last nights patrol." "Then go tell him." Cordelia urged on Buffy stood up and walked towards the library.

She walked too the library and opened the double doors she said "Giles." "Oh hi Buffy. How was patrol last night?" "It was a bust I didn't find another warewolf in the woods but I think Oz is cleared of murder." "How come?" "I went into Platt's office and he was mulled and he was killed before he could drop his cigarette." "So that means it's a Killer in the day." "Yes, so Oz is cleared." "Were is he, sunset's at 5:30." "Here." Oz said coming into the library looking relieved and went into the cage. "Who will watch him?" "I'll ask Faith too watch him." "Okay I gotta go!"

Buffy said a little quickly Giles looked suspiciously after his slayer their was something different about her today. He just shoke his head and went too his office.

Part 5:

Buffy walked too Angel's old apartment she took out her key and unlocked the door too the building then went downstairs and unlocked the door too his apartment room she walked in and dust was all over the place, she went too the tall dresser and opened it she put her bag on a nearby table and took some of his favorite pants and shirts out and some of the ones she liked. She said "I wonder why Angel just doesn't move back here."

She put some jackets and dusters in the extra bag she brought with then went towards the bed and picked up the clothes that she was wearing that night when they made love she picked hers up and Angel's were already picked up she guessed that when he was starting to lose his soul he pulled on the clothes we was wearing before, she picked up pretty much all the clothes he had and even pulled some out of the closet and she saw some different dark colored Kimonos there she wondered if they were ones he picked up when he was Angelus and was in Japan.

She went too his desk and noticed a pad of drawing paper she debated if she should take it or leave it "I wonder if he still wants to draw after Angelus left the drawing of me sleeping?" She decided too look through the drawers on his desk on the bottom one she found a bunch of drawings she picked them up and their was red ribbion around them the top one was of her she sat down in his chair and pulled the ribbon off she looked at it and it was a picture of her standing outside under the sun her hair was longer too she reconized it it was the afternoon she was called as the slayer the lines he drew of her mirrored love, worship and hope.

She smiled and moved too the next and the next almost half of them were when she lived in L.A. another one she saw was of their first meeting that night behind the ally she moved too one when she was sleeping all the pictures she had seen were drawn the same way as the first one she saw of her, she saw another one of her was their skate date he drew a picture of her skating across the ice she placed her fingers on it the lines were drawn of worship and love for her she saw one of her that Halloween night when she walked into the room after changing out of her noble women dress, she looked through some more and she gasped it was a picture of them when they confessed their love for each other.

She decided too take the drawing pad with her and the pictures that he had drawn of her she picked the bag that had Angel's clothes in and got out of the chair she left the apartment and headed towards the mansion.

Buffy went in she opened the mansion door she walked in and saw Angel sitting in front of the fire place. He turned around and saw Buffy his face brightend and he sat up and went towards her he put his arms around her waist from behind and said "Hay I missed you all day!" She turned in the circle of his arms and said "I did too!"

Buffy got on her tippy toes and kissed him he kissed her back. They pulled away from each other and Buffy said "I brought your clothes and I also found some of your drawings, I brought them with and also your drawing pad." "Buffy I don't want to draw again after what Angelus did." "Angel don't give up on drawing your excelent at it, don't give it up because of your damn demon." She brought out the stack of drawings and said "All of these drawings are before you turned evil."

"You found my drawings of you huh?" Angel said with a smile on his face "Yes I did, their really good! Thats why I think you should keep drawing and besides you don't have too worry about Angelus taunting me ever again or threatening me with drawings. Angel you shouldn't give up a talent like this I would love too have a drawing talent like you maybe you should be an art teacher at Sunnydale High. Well that is when I'm ready too let the guys know your back."

Angel thought it over for a while he kissed her and said "Okay baby I'll continue drawing. You do know the sooner everyone knows I'm back the easier it will be to tell." "Well Cordy and Willow already know, but Angel I'm worried if Xander, Giles and Faith find out about you being back they'll have one desire and thats too kill you." Buffy said taking a hold of his hands "I can't imagine what I'd do if they killed you but only this time I wouldn't get you back and your human also." Angel rested his forhead against hers and said "I know your worried about my well being honey but it'd be better if you tell everyone else without them finding out another way. Like if Xander or something catches us kissing." He said jokingly Buffy giggled she smiled and said "How do you always know the right thing to say?"

Angel shrugged and flashed her his half-smile that made her weak in the knees "years of experience. I have a question to ask you." "What is it?" "Who's Faith?" "She's the slayer that took Kendra's place she's kinda to much into the whole slayer gig and she dresses like a slut and says that slaying always makes her hungry and horny." "Well doesn't it do that too you?" "I don't know maybe you should come with me and find out."

He beant his head down and kissed her she said "Do you have a phone here?" "Yeah in my bedroom." "Okay" Buffy went into Angel's room she saw the phone on the nightstand she sat on the bed and picked the phone up she dialed the number of the library Giles said "hello." "Giles it's Buffy." "Hi Buffy why are you calling? Um Giles I need to tell you, Xander and Faith something." "What about Cordelia and Willow." "I already told them." "Okay I'll call Xander and Faith and well Oz is already here so we can meet at the library tomarow." "Okay see you tonight Giles." "Yeah bye." Buffy hung up the phone Angel walked into the bedroom and sat bye her on the bed "So whats the what." "Were going too meet tomarow in the library. We should probilly go see my mom too."

"Buffy the last time your mom saw me I told her about are night together I don't know how she'll take too me." "She doesn't know you Angel the real you." "Let's not deal wit this right now. I want to do other things." Angel said raising an eyebrow Buffy smiled and said "Oh really and what exactly doo you have in mind?" Angel kissed her and gently pushed her down onto the bed "How about I show you?"
