Authors Note: Okay after crying after watching the end of Becoming Part II I decided too write an alternate ending, as many of us have done with that episode. I'm writing an alternate ending, hopefully It'll be okay and in my world Jenny is alive and well as you'll notice, but I'm not having the whole going through hell deal for 'Anne.' If anyone has used the idea of Buffy and Angel coming across Doyle I'm sorry I give you credit for that.

Buffy was finally ready. She was finally able too kill Angelus since she was ready too accept that the man she loved was never going to come back.

Their swords clashed and Buffy was getting the upperhand before Angelus was kicking her ass. Buffy kicked him into the room were the Acathla was.

Jenny said in a foreign language while Giles waved the incense burner and Willow, Oz and Cordy all stood by listening, "ASA FIA, ASA FIA Acum Acum" the orb of Thesullah glowed and it went too restore Angel's soul too him.

Buffy lifted the sword and had Angelus at her mercy she was about too close the gates of hell.

Angel made an agonized cry and he dropped his head between his knees, he felt another shot of pain go through him and felt the demon being ripped from his body, Buffy looked suspiciously and hopefully at him.

He looked up and saw his love looking at him Buffy looked into his dark brown puppy dog eye's that were brimming with tears he looked lovingly at her.

Angel said "Buffy." His voice was soft and full of love "What's going on?" Angel looked around at his surrounding's his beautiful face then took on a look of confusion he didn't recognize his surrounding's Angel stood up and said "Were are we, I don't remember."

Buffy lowered her sword and said with hope in her voice "Angel?" He saw the cut on her shoulder he gently caressed it and looked at her concerned and said "Your hurt!"

She went into his arms and he instantly had his arms wrapped around her 'She's so thin? What have I missed?' she was curious and content both and he said "God it feels like I haven't seen you in months, God everything's so muddled I..." She closed her eye's and melted too his embrace "Oh Buffy" he kissed her shoulder and sniffed her hair.

She felt so safe being in his arms that Buffy forgot about the Acathla she opened her eye's and saw it opening, 'No no I'm not going to send my Angel too hell!' Angel felt her stiffen and looked at her "What's going on?" Buffy said "Angel do you know what the Acathla is?" "A demon that would send the entire world into hell." "Yeah, well look behind you," he did and said frantically "How does it get closed?" "Your blood is the only thing that can close it."

"Is their something I could use?" Buffy saw the knife Dru handed him earlier she tossed it too him and said "Here," he cut his hand Buffy said "Catch." She tossed her sword and he caught it in his bloody hand and stabbed it into his chest and their was a bright white light and it tossed them back and the Acathla closed.

Angel said "Wow that was a tough one." He went towards Buffy who was on her stomach he went towards her and said "What happen Buffy, it feels like a lot of things happened."

She caressed the curve of his cheek with her fingers she kissed him and said "The memories will come back too you soon. Even though you don't deserve them." "What memories...." Suddenly everything came rushing back too him achieving true happiness, turning evil, mocking Buffy about their night together, trying to kill Willow and telling Joyce about their night together trying to kill Jenny.

Buffy wrapped her arms around him and said soothing things into his ear, he suddenly looked up and said "Buffy how can you stand too look at me, after everything I did!" "Because it wasn't you I know you would never do that too me, but I stalked you, I tried too kill your friends and worst of all I mocked what was the best night of my entire long life" "it wasn't you Angel stop blaming yourself if anyone should be blamed it should be me I pushed you into..."

"Shh Buffy I wanted that night too happen just as bad as you did." "You said we shouldn't though." "I said that because I didn't want to push you into something you weren't ready for it didn't mean I didn't want it too happen." "How can we still be together after what happened." Buffy said miserably he took her hands and said "Will work out something" something clicked in Buffy's head she placed her hand over Angel's and said "I'll talk too Jenny about the curse if she changed it, but please please don't do anything rash."

"I wont, I promise." "You do your rather sensitive right now I don't want you too....." He cupped her chin and said "Don't worry baby I'm not going too kill myself." She kissed him and said "I love you get some rest." "I love you too. I will." They kissed again and Buffy left. She prayed too God that Angel wouldn't kill himself she wouldn't be able to take it if she lost him.

Part 1

Buffy arrived at school she had too speak with Ms. Calander even though she was expelled from school she hoped Jenny was here. She went too the computer/science lab. The door was open she walked in and said "Ms. Calander?" She wasn't here, she went too the library, she said "Hello anyone here?" Giles said "Buffy I didn't expect you so soon, is the Acathla?" "He's dormant" "and Angelus? He's Angel again." "You mean his soul has been restored?"

"Yes, and luckily I saved him before he went too hell by using his blood instead of him. Giles I need to speak to Jenny were is she?" "Are you going to lash at her again?" "No, I need to ask her about the curse and find out if it's the same one and thank her, I we want to be together again but now we have to worry about Angelus as far as we know. That's why I need to talk to Jenny. Were is she, have you seen her yet today? Her room is unlocked and opened." "No Buffy I'm sorry but I haven't seen her yet today."

The door to the library opened and in walked the gypsy girl Jenny said "Did I hear someone calling for me." "It was me Jenny." "Buffy is Angel..." "Yes, his soul has been restored that's what I wanted to talk too you about is it the same curse or a different one? Does it have any loopholes or anything?" Jenny laughed she smiled and said "No, Buffy of course not I couldn't do that too you and Angel, their is a loophole though." Buffy got scared Jenny said "Don't worry it's a good one, it's still a happiness clause but it's a good one. If Angel experiences true happiness the demon will be banished from him forever and he will start aging at the age he was when he was turned, which is I'm guessing twenty-three or twenty-four he will still have hisstrength and healing powers though and his heightened seances so he's pretty much half man half demon but his demon will only surface when necessary, when he's fighting."

Buffy squealed with happiness and hugged Jenny tightly she said "Thank you thank you thank you! You've made me the happiest girl in the world!" Jenny hugged her back and said "Your welcome you two deserve it, my people punished a good man. Plus I wanted too make amends with you and this was the best way I could do it." "Thank you so much Jenny, and I'm sorry about before." "It's okay." Buffy was about to go when Giles said "Buffy don't you still have school?" Buffy rolled her eye's and said "Snyder kicked me out of school, he savored it too well! Stupid little troll, and my Mom kicked me out of the house. Oh Giles she knows now." "Good God your Mom knows about your calling?"

"Yes, you need to tell her everything. She kicked me out of the house because of my slaying gig, she couldn't handle the fact that her daughter was a vampire slayer and had too save the world so she told me if I left the house to never come back." "I'm sorry Buffy." "I don't have any place to live now. Except with Angel. Giles I need to go away for the summer, actually both Angel and I need some space and time by ourselves" "but Buffy we need you here." "Giles please I need to go away for a while and spend some time alone with Angel and you guys coped without me last summer Spike and Drusilla are gone and the Acathla is dormant."

"Okay Buffy were are you planing on going?" "Maybe I'll take Angel too Los Angeles and introduce him too my father. Giles please don't either you or Jenny tell the others were I am."

"We won't Buffy, and I'll see what I can do about getting you back in school." "Explain again how that is good?" Giles gave her a look and said "Buffy you need an education." "Yeah yeah I know, but other slayers usually dropped out of school when they got called. I'm going now." Buffy said.

She slipped out the back and hurried back to the mansion, she ran their and said "Angel." He came up too her and said "Don't worry Buffy I'm allright." "Angel I think we need a little vacation." "What do you mean?" "Angel I just need to get away from here for a while I need to be with you."

"Were do you want to go?" "Los Angeles and you can meet my father." "What about the curse?" "Pack and I'll tell you about it on the bus Buffy helped him pack and then they went too her house and they looked in the driveway "My Mom isn't here come on." It was a cloudy day thankfully and the sky was threatening rain.

Buffy packed her things she also took some money and left a note for her mother Buffy was about too leave until she said "Wait I need something." Buffy went towards her night table she picked up the claddagh ring Angel gave her he saw what she had and said "You don't wear that?"

Buffy said "After you changed into him I stopped wearing it but always kept it close to my heart. So I wore it around my neck on a chain." Buffy slipped the ring back were it belonged.

They headed back for the high school and stood by a tree.

Giles and Jenny walked up and Cordelia, Xander, Willow and Oz came along. Giles said "Willow you sure you should be out of bed?" "Look who's talking." Willow said "Any word?" Cordelia said they all shook their heads even though Jenny and Giles knew Willow said "Did the spell work Ms. Calander?" "I don't know Willow I felt the spirit of my ancient ancestors go through me." "Plus the orb did that cool glow thing." Cordelia said "Or maybe it wasn't in time maybe she had too kill him before the cure could work." Xander said "and she wanted to be alone I guess." Oz suggested.

"Or maybe Angel was saved and they wanted to be alone together!" Willow said dreamily Jenny and Giles thought 'you don't know how right you are Willow.' Giles said "Perhaps" 'and very right." Giles mentally added Cordelia said "Well she has to show up sooner or later we still have school." Cordelia said "Yeah she'll be here in a while." Willow said 'not likely' Jenny thought.

Part 2

Buffy and Angel stood by a tree with their bags Angel asked "Are you sure you want to do this?" She turned towards him and said "Yes I do Angel, I need to spend some time alone with you." "Okay. Come on." He placed his arm around her shoulders and they walked off towards the bus station together.

On the way Buffy explained to Angel what Jenny told her about the curse he said "So when I experience true happiness the demon inside of me will be banished and I'll be human and I'll start aging at the age I was when I was changed, but I still have some of my qualities like strength and healing powers?" "Yes, exactly." He smiled "That is great!"

They arrived at the bus station and Angel said "I'll buy are tickets." He kissed her on the forehead and Buffy sat down Angel stood in line when he got up too the ticket booth the agent said "Were too sir?" "two tickets too Los Angeles." "Okay, that's six dollars, Angel paid for the tickets the ticket booth agent handed him two tickets for Los Angeles, he took them and sat next to Buffy she said "When is the next bus too LA" "9:30 A.M." "What time is it now?" Angel looked at his silver watch and said "It's 9:15 right now." "So the bus is going to be here in a few minutes?" "I guess so." The P.A. system crackled "From Sunnydale too Los Angeles the bus is now loading."

Buffy and Angel stood up and loaded onto the bus after another couple.

They found seats in the back and Buffy rested her head on his chest and he wrapped his arm around her, he placed a kiss on the top of her head and said "How about when we find a place too stay we break the curse?" Angel said smiling, Buffy giggled and smiled at him and said "I agree."

Buffy snuggled against him and he wrapped his arm tighter around her and the bus drove down the highway, the bus passed a sign that said "Now Leaving Sunnydale Please Come Back Soon.'

Part 3

The bus arrived in LA within a few hours, the driver said "We are now arriving in Los Angeles from Sunnydale, make sure you have your umbrellas folks it's raining cat's and dogs out their." Buffy said "It's a good thing it's not sunny huh?" "Yeah, but after I get true happiness will be able too." Angel said smiling "yeah that'll be great." Angel took out an umbrella and opened it and Angel placed it over their head as the rain poured.

Angel said "We need too get a car." "Theirs always a Taxi." Buffy said "Yeah but a car makes better sense." "I know, come on."

They arrived at a car place and Angel bought a black Mustang convertible, Buffy said "Mmm I've always wanted too be able to ride in a convertible."

Angel paid for the car and drove off down the street and they went apartment looking.

They drove to an apartment near Helen's Dinner, they saw a sign that said apartment room for lease. Angel said "Let's check this one out. Angel parked on the street and they walked in a representative came up to them and said "May I help you young people?" "Yeah were interested in the room that has a lease." "Okay."

The owner of the apartment building picked up a sliding key she said "Follow me, my name is Maria if your wondering."

They went too the elevator and stepped in Maria pressed the button for the 2nd floor.

The elevator went up and when it reached the second floor the elevator dinged and the doors opened, they walked out and walked towards room 234 she slid the key into the slot and the door unlocked, Buffy and Angel walked in after Maria and they looked around the place, "this looks good doesn't it." "Yeah it does. Will take it." Angel said he wrote out a check for the first month lease and Maria took it, and said "thank you." She then left.

Buffy and Angel carried their bags and set them down on a dresser mirror Angel said "What do you wanna do now?" "Oh how about we break the curse." Buffy suggested slyly "I love the way you think beloved!" Angel said grinning he kissed her she kissed him back and their kisses soon turned passionate and fell backwards onto the bed and they made love for the rest of the night they climaxed together and fell asleep holding each other under the covers soaked with their sweat.

Part 4

The next morning Buffy woke up in an unfirmilar bed but a firmilar embrace she smiled as the events of last night played back at her, she had her head resting on Angel's bare chest and she heard his heartbeating underneath her ear and his warmth surounding her.

Angel was running his fingers through her hair and she woke up and looked up in the eye's of her lover who was smiling romantically at her.

He said running his fingers through her blonde tresses "Hay!" He kissed the top of her head and said "How did you sleep?" "Mmm the best sleep I've gotten in months." Buffy said looking up at him with her beautiful green eye's he loved the sheets were covering their naked bodies, she traced her fingers over his chest and over his heart and said "God I love that sound!"

"What sound?" "Your heartbeat! Thump-Thump, Thump-Thump, Thump-Thump." "Yeah it is pretty amazing huh?" "Yeah, I was thinking do you think I should get a job?" "Why?" "So that we can keep up on the lease for however long were here, I just wonder if we're going to be assigned here. I get that feeling."

"You do?" "Yeah. Do you still have your claddagh ring?" Angel showed her his left hand and for sure the claddagh was their circling his middle left finger heart pointing inward he looked at Buffy's and took it off she said "Angel what?" "Shh I'm putting it back on you."

He slipped it on her left hand heart facing in and kissed the top of it. "I'm thinking of starting too work in that Helen's Dinner, what do you think?" "Would you like too?" "Yes, I would. Is it still raining out?" Angel took the robe out of his bag and put it on over his naked flesh he opened the curtain of the apartment that lead too a balcony and said "No it's sunny out, I guess the rain stopped during the night." Angel said.

The sun washed over his features he savored being able too see the sun after so long, Buffy marveled at seeing him in the sun he turned towards his girlfriend and said "I think I'm going to take a walk." "I'll join you."

Buffy got out of bed and looked through her clothes and pulled out a pair of black jeans and a white tank top she brushed her hair out, while Angel dressed himself in black slacks and a red shirt, Buffy said "Honey your going too have to find some more comfortable clothes you'll roast out in the sun with you black clothes."

"Are you saying your going to take me on a shopping trip?" Angel asked fearfully.

"Yes, you go take your walk and I'm going to try too get a job at Helen's Dinner." "Is that that little dinner a few blocks from here?" "Yes, and I'm going to use my middle name." "What's wrong with your regular name?" "Angel I have a bad reputation in this town as Buffy Summers so I want too change my identity too Anne." "Does that mean I should call you Anne?" "Only in public."

Part 5

Buffy went too Helen's Dinner and signed the application and waited for an interview.

The interview was a success and she pretty much got hired on the spot.

She recieved a polyester uniform she winced at the look but knew she would have too wear it and a tag that said 'Anne' on it. Mitch the owner of the diner said "You'll start on Thursday Anne." "Okay."

She went back too her and Angel's apartment she walked down the street back towards the apartment. She ran into Angel on the street she smiled and said "What a surprise Angel!" "Hay nice running into you." Angel said and took her in his arms he said "Well?" "I got the job, I'm starting on Thursday." "Really?" "Yup."

Buffy looped her arm through Angel's and they walked down the streets of Los Angeles everyone who passed them could feel their love for each other.

Angel asked "Do you want to go to the beach?" "Of course! You need a tan Mr. I'm-As-pale-as-vampire. You'll need sunscreen so you don't get burnt." "I know." Angel said they went too the apartment and got beach towels and sunscreen Buffy put her shades on and said "Angel your going too need shades." "What makes you think I don't already." He put a pair of shades on that almost matched hers "Mmm they look really nice on you!" Buffy said, they walked out too Angel's car and he drove them too Santa Monica by Buffy's direction.

They picked a nice spot Angel put the blanket down on the beach and Buffy lied down on the blanket after striping too her bathing suit her body was curled against Angel's and he ran his fingers through her silky hair as they sat and enjoyed their first afternoon together she said "This is our first afternoon." Angel leaned down and kissed the top of her head "The first of many my love!" "Yeah!" She said smiling up at him he striped out of his jeans and shirt and was only in a pair of Speedo's she smiled and though 'He looks so gorgeous in those speedos.'

A lot of girls turned their gaze towards Angel and grinned flirtatiously at him Buffy rested her head on his lap and tickled his thighs well his hands traveled down her sides and through her hair. Buffy sat up and Angel held her in his arms and placed butterfly kisses over her face and neck and gave her a back massage she said "mmm oh Angel that feels nice." "I just want to make you feel good beloved."

Part 6: Three Month's Later

Buffy was working at Helen's Dinner and she honestly had to say it's been the best summer of her life and spending it with the man she loved, she didn't want too ever go back too Sunnydale she and Angel have been in Heaven during the whole summer. Angel was also working at Helen's Dinner.

She was serving some guys and said "Anything else I can get for you?" "That'll do it peaches." One of the guys said Buffy hated customers like this Angel hated them even more "Then heres your bill." "You want me to work it off for you." The other guy said she resisted the urge too beat them too a bloody pulp she walked off and the first guy who spoke slapped her ass and she defenently resisted the urge too beat them too a bloody pulp.

Angel was working at the cash register and his eye's became angry when he saw that guy hit Buffy's bottom he glared threateningly at them when they approached he said angrily "Listen to me, that was my girlfriend you hit their I should charge you more for sexual harassing her." "You can't do anything about it your a host you can't beat up the customer and she's quite a sexy thing."

Angel's glare grew even more deadly and they said "Well stop okay." "Good or else I might've been forced too do some serious ass kicking." Angel said they paid and walked off with Angel glaring deadly at their backs. Angel went towards her and said "hay are you okay. I saw those guys harassing you. I wanted too seriously kick their ass." Buffy smiled she kissed him and said thank you he walked back towards the cash register.

She walked off to another table were a young couple was lost in their own loving world Buffy smiled they reminded her of herself and Angel she pulled the pen out from over her ear.

She said "You guys ready?" "Yeah I think were good," the guy said he looked up and said "um" he looked at Buffy's name tag and said "Anne."

"What'll you have?" Buffy asked "Well, um what can we get with this." Ricky said and produced some change Buffy looked at it and said "Um...." "Can we get cake?" The girl asked Buffy looked closely at her she looked firmiliar Ricky said to her "don't be stupid, we got to eat healthy we can't have cake."

He turned back towards Anne and said "Can we get pie?" "We got a peach pie I can't guarantee theirs a peach in it." Lily said to Ricky "You shouldn't blown all our money." "Come on it was worth it," Ricky said looking lovingly at Lily "Hay check this out."

They showed her their arms which were half hearts and the other persons name was their and when they were together it made a full heart with their names in them Buffy said "It's nice, it's nice and a permanent, me and my boyfriend have something like that too." Buffy said smiling during the summer Angel had brought her too a tattoo parlor and told her that he had a surprise for her and she got a smaller duplicate of Angel's tattoo only above it their was 'Angel's Girl' in an arch like style she loved him for that he said that he wanted them too have matching tattoos and Buffy couldn't resist.

Ricky put his arm around Lily's shoulders and said "Yeah forever, I mean that's the whole point." Buffy looked shocked Angel said that same thing too her during the summer Lilly looked closely at her and said "Hay do I know you?" "I don't think so." Buffy said a little too quickly "Really were you from?" "I'll get your pie."

She walked away and towards her boyfriend Angel said "What's wrong beloved?" "See that couple over their?" Buffy said gesturing too Ricky and Lily "Yeah." "Well, the girl knows about who I am even though she does look firmiliar." "What do you want to do?" "I don't know?" "How about say like I'm sick or something." "Okay," Angel and Buffy went towards another waitress and Angel said "She's not feeling too well she want's me to bring her home would you cover?" "Sure." Buffy took off her apron and notepad and they left.

Part 7: Coming Across Doyle

Buffy and Angel were walking to their apartment hand in hand when they got their they turned on the elevator, Doyle was following them 'Their they are.'

He thought it was the warriors for the PTB that were going to save the world and destined to be the greatest warriors of all time.

Buffy stoped and said "Angel do you feel someone?" "Yeah, I do." They turned around and didn't see anyone "This is really weird Angel." "I know."

The next day they were working and a short dark haired guy stood in the doorway of the Dinner and looked at them with special interest and they watched him and he went back out the door, "This is getting incredible weird Angel that's the second time this week when that guy has come along." "I'm sure we'll learn eventually honey."

It had been two weeks Lily said as Buffy and Angel walked alone down the street one night "Anne, Anne. Buffy."

Buffy turned around and saw her she came up too her and said "Don't be mad I won't turn you in or anything, I guess you don't recognize me." "Lily?" "I mean from before, I was calling myself Chanterelle and well I was in this cult that worshiped vampires," she looked towards Angel and said "I recognize you from before also you were the one that was kinda nasty too us." "I'm sorry about that."

"I know why you were and well it was lame too be in a cult like that. You kinda saved us, I never really thanked you Buffy or you." She said gesturing too Angel "Can I walk with you guys?" "Sure I never really meet you." "I'm Angel." They shook hands and Lily joined them and they walked and talked.

A day later Buffy and Angel were walking home from work they had saved Lily and some other people from hell literally they went up too the elevator and into their room and they saw the mysterious guy who they had seen for a couple weeks.

The man spoke in a thick Irish Brogue "I've been looking for ye two?" "You have?" "Yes," "Who are you?" Buffy asked "The name is Allen Francis Doyle lass, but I usually go bye Doyle."

"Why are you looking for us?" Angel asked because I work for the big guys "The big guys?" Angel asked "The Powers That Be Lad." "Who are they?" Buffy asked.

"Govern forces of the universe they determine fate and destinies for warriors and ye two are thee powers favorite warriors." "How do you be in contact with them?" "I get head numbing visions, it's part of a punishment from me past." "Well why have you been looking for us?" Buffy asked "because princess the powers want you and Angel too work together, here in L.A. with me as your vessel too the Powers That Be" "but we live in Sunnydale."

Angel said "Yeah well the Powers want you two too move here Angel man." "I'm the slayer though," Buffy said "Yeah well pop quiz here lassie? Would you rather prefer too spend the rest of your life fighting the forces of darkness or would you and Angel prefer to help lost souls that need hope? They saw your work with Lily when she needed you and she was a lost soul. What would you prefer?" Doyle asked.

Buffy thought it over and said "I guess helping people in a non-slaying way is a great idea but if I come across a vampire I would kill it." Doyle smiled and said "I thought so Buffy and I think that Angel helping people could really help him out even if he's among the living himself, besides since both you and Angel are day dwellers you could be detective agents by day and vampire hunters by night. The purpose for all of this is too show that there's still hero's in this world and that someone cares."

Angel asked "When do we start?" "Whoa hold up their big guy, before we start you have too find an agency and maybe another client if not two if your lucky and second we have too set up an agency." Buffy said "Angel what about Lily? Ricky is dead and now she's looking for a job." "That's a good idea beloved," "Yeah I'd say so but like I said you two finding another client is one thing the other thing is that we need too set up an agency I suggest you do that find a place for an agency before hiring your friend." "Okay so should we all start looking?" Buffy asked.

They did and started setting up their detective agency.
