Reuniting

Spoilers: No 'Hero.' Sadly this takes place after 'Were The Wild Things Are' the episode that makes you want to lose everything you've ever eaten and maybe slight ones for 'Goodbye Iowa.' I wouldn't know I haven't paid much attention this season but nothing afterwards don't happen which means no 'Sanctuary' traumatization and instead of Riley and Angel fighting in 'The Yoko Factor' they fight in this story instead I love watching Angel kick Riley's sorry ass! There's also references for 'Halloween.'
Authors Note: This idea came too me as I was reading some spoilers. Buffy's friends are getting fed up with Riley and Buffy moping around pretending she's happy with Riley when they know that Buffy is still moping over Angel.
Disclaimer: These characters are not mine I wish they were though cause heaven knows I would treat them better and if I owned them then people wouldn'tve giving up there faith that Buffy and Angel were going to be together again. I would've killed Riley off a long time ago and not even brought Jheria into the picture because I would've put Buffy and Angel together by then.
Summery: Also I'm saying that for "Were The Wild Things Are" I'm just going to say that Riley told his commando guys how long they were going at it. Also Oz came back and he and Willow got back together and she and Tara are friends I don't buy the whole Tara/Willow thing and I'm making Riley a huge jerk I know he's not but this is my universe which means it's my rules and my rules say Riley a jerk. So any of you Riley fans out there you might not want to read this and please don't flame me for making Riley a jerk.

Riley was walking around campus with some of his commando guys and frat boys bragging about his and Buffy's sex romp filled evening.

Willow, Oz and Tara were passing them and Willow heard Riley saying "We were going at it for practically an hour." "Man Parker was right she is easy!" Riley laughed and said "Yeah I know!" Willow stopped when she heard that Tara said "What is it Willow." "Shh come on." The three of them huddled behind a bush and were eavesdropping. When Riley and his commando boys left Willow shouted "Ugh can you believe the nerve of him! He's treating Buffy like how poophead Parker did after he used her like nothing more then a piece of meat!" Oz put his arm around Willow and soothed "It's okay baby." "No it's not Oz even when Angel was bad he didn't do this! He kept there night together private and something just between them." Tara said "Oz is right Will all we have to do is tell Buffy and everything will be fine." "I don't know guys she might not believe us I knew that Riley couldn't be trusted! Buffy kept on telling us all that we can't trust the Initiative but we can trust Riley after he
threatened her and bad mouthed us and her lifestyle. Can you believe that! I think it would break trust points for me! Especially if I would get threatened by my boyfriend."

"Maybe maybe not but I think we should tell Xander also." "Come on then" they headed towards Xanders place and knocked on the door.

He answered and said "Hay guys come in." Everyone did and Willow said "Xander you won't believe what the three of us just saw Riley doing!" "What?" "You know about that demon that got loose in that frat house?" "Yeah due to Buffy and Riley's sexually active night." "Well you wont believe what we just saw!" Willow said angrily "Riley was telling some of his commando guys about how long they were having sex, and it sounded like he didn't even care that they almost killed everyone in the room. While Buffy felt remorse over it she probably didn't just feel remorse over getting an entire room full of people killed but she also probably felt remorse over betraying her and Angel's love."

Xander became just as angry and said "How dare he does that, at least when Angel was bad he didn't do that he kept it a private matter between them." "That's what I said." "Come on let's tell Buffy she needs to hear this." "I know that but we should probably tell Angel also because she might not believe us and she just might believe Angel." "I don't know if he finds out what Riley did he's going to be furious and probably make it so that Riley is in physical therapy for months he might even kill Riley." "Does it matter? Riley would deserve it for doing that." "Okay but should we call by phone or drive to L.A." Xander said "Look I'll drive too L.A. and tell Angel. What the hell is his address?" Willow said "No Xander I think Oz should go the truth should come from her two best friends. Who knows maybe we could all put are heads together and figure out a way to get them back together. Cordy might even be willing too help out."

"The only way we could do that is by taking the complete happiness factor out of the curse or find a spell to make him human. I know Buffy still loves him and he still loves her but the two of them are so stubborn to admit that they belong together and they should be together. Buffy thinks she has us fooled but she doesn't." "Okay Will so Oz will you go tell Angel?" Xander asked "Sure I'll leave now." Tara asked "Is there anything I can do to help?" "Yeah you could see if you could find a spell or something to make Buffy and Angel realize that they belong together and later we could look for a spell to take the complete happiness factor out of the curse with Giles' help." Tara said "okay I'll start now."

Tara left and Oz said "I'll head to L.A. now and tell Angel about what Riley did." Willow and Xander nodded and Oz left the room. Willow said "Come on Xand." They left and headed towards the dorms when they arrived at Buffy and Willows dorm room and Xander and Willow went in luckily Buffy was all alone she was at the desk writing a letter. When the door opened Buffy quickly put it in the desk she said "Willow hi and hay Xander." Willow and Xander stepped in and Willow said "Buffy Xander and I think you should know something." "What" Xander said "Willow told us that as she, Oz, and Tara were walking they heard Riley bragging too his commando pals how long you two had sex" "yeah and it sounded like that he didn't care that you guys nearly killed an entire room full of people."

Buffy smiled she laughed and said "Yeah right he's not like Parker." "Trust us Buffy Oz, Tara and I all heard it with our own ears." "You know what I think you guys are just trying to break us up because I've been avoiding you so much and spending most of my time with Riley and with the Initiative Willow your the one who told me to let go of Angel's and my past and to move on! Angel didn't want to be with me and he left me, but Riley does."

"Buffy Anne Summers you know that's not true Angel loves you and he wanted to be with you." "Oh yeah then why did he leave me and tell me he didn't?" "God Buffy fine don't believe us but if guys from the Initiative start giving you lusty stares don't blame us or Angel blame yourself for not believing us. At least when Angel was bad he kept your guys' night together a secret thing between you two and didn't share it with everyone. You've just been acting like such a self-absorbed self centered little bitch feeling like you were dropped like a whore in a bar when Angel broke up with you. How much do you want to bet that your mother was the one who told him to leave."

"If you ask me I think you need too look in the mirror for a long time and realize that were right, and you think you might have us fooled but we know you still love Angel and not Riley you and Angel are just to stubborn to admit that you need each other and belong together and all that you and Riley have is lust nothing but lust! Not love like you and Angel had. Trying to find a connection like you had with Angel with another guy, but guess what Buffy it'll never happen you'll never be able to find someone else you'll be able to have a connection with!" Buffy shook her head and left. Xander said "I told you she wouldn't believe us." Buffy ran down the hall trying not to cry at Willow mentioning Angel. She whispered to herself 'I'm not going to cry anymore! No more acting like a big baby I'm not going to cry anymore it wont bring him back!'

Oz had just arrived at Angel Investigations he parked his van on the street and went in he saw that Angel was sitting alone in his office with his feet up on his desk looking like he was reading but actually looking at a picture of Buffy and drinking out of a green glass bottle that said red Irish Whiskey on it he looked like he was having a hang over Oz had never seen Angel looking like he was having a hang over. Oz knew he wasn't reading he saw fingers running over the page he presumed that Angel was looking at a picture of Buffy.

Oz tapped on his office door and said "Angel." He looked up Oz looked closely at him and thought 'Yeah that guy is definitely having a hang over' and said "Hi Oz when did you come back from your little road trip and what's the statues of your werewolf side?" "I came back last month and I can now control my werewolf side." Angel smiled and said "That's great to hear!"

He darkened and said "I wish I could do the same keep my demon from surfacing whenever Buffy and I get intimate. God I really miss her I've been feeling so lonely these last few months I would give anything to just be able to touch her. I imagine Willow was really happy when you were back?" "Yes she was and I was too I missed her so much."

"I have to tell you something about Buffy." Angel became concerned and gestured for Oz to sit at the chair across from his desk and he did "What about Buffy is she all right?" "Well you might not really appreciate what I'm going to say."

Time passes and Oz tells him everything about 'Where The Wild Things Are' he wanted to stop when he saw Angel looking like his soul and heart was torn into a million pieces. "Anyway Willow, Tara and I were walking by and heard Riley telling all his friends about how long they were having sex and he didn't seem to care that they almost killed an entire room of people all he cared about was the score while Buffy felt remorseful over getting almost an entire room killed I also think that part of her remorse came from feeling like she betrayed you and your guys' love."

When Angel heard that he vamped out growled and through the glass bottle against the wall and it shattered too a million pieces he ran his fingers through his hair and Oz jumped startled.

He shouted "How dare he does that sex is suppose to be a private matter! Not shared with people! Even when I was Angelus I didn't tell anyone about are night together I kept it a private matter like it's suppose to be! I'm heading to Sunnydale too kick his ass for doing this to Buffy!"

"Man that might not be a good idea." Oz said "He deserves it though I'm going to make sure he's in physical therapy for several months." "I know but if Buffy finds out you beat him up she'll probably dust you."

"Maybe you're right but I'm going to see if she'll believe me first." "Good luck man!" Oz said and got up to leave and left the building. Angel could smell alcohol on him he decided that he should wait until he's sober before driving to Sunnydale he wasn't exactly in the best shape to drive being drunk behind the wheel is not the smartest thing in the world plus it was still very sunny out.

He definitely was having a hang over more so then he has ever since arriving back in L.A., he went down too his apartment and decided to take a shower he was feeling so hurt, Buffy had found someone else even though that's what he wanted for her, but not what he wanted anymore. He was crushed but maybe if she finds out maybe she'll beat Riley up herself he went into his bathroom and started the shower.

Buffy didn't know how long she was walking and found her feet had carried her too Angel's old apartment building she tried the door of course it was locked and broke the lock, and then went down to his apartment room and broke the lock.

She walked in and suddenly felt chilly her mind flashed back to that night of her birthday when she and Angel made love the one move that made a mess of there entire future it was also the first and only time she's ever made love to a man she went to his bed her virginal bloodline made a stain on his sheets since she was a virgin that night. The memories of that night flashed before her his kisses his touch, the feeling of their bodies and souls becoming one and intertwined with each other. The memories flashed before her of all the memories that she and Angel shared she whispered "I'll never forget you Angel. It's just so hard too you're the kind of guy every girl dreams of having and I was the lucky one to have you, I can't let you go! You were my first love my only love, my soul mate." Buffy said the last part and started choking on her sobs. She saw dust all over the place on all Angel's possessions of course because no one's been in it for three years even though they had more memories at the mansion.

She was wondering if Willow was right that she's been acting like a self-absorbed, self-centered little bitch and if it was true that Riley was telling his commando boys about there sex filled night and it's true that he didn't seem to care much from what she could tell that they almost killed an entire room full of people she also felt like she betrayed Angel and their love last night. She changed the covers since the others were covers with dust and laid down on his bed she could still smell his scent on the pillows and curled up into a little ball on his bed she whispered painfully "I'll never forget, I'll never forget, I'll never forget." She fell asleep dreaming about her and Angel being together and happy. Willow was also right she and Angel belong together and they need each other.

He took her heart to L.A. the ability to completely commit herself to someone who's not him she was marked as his for all eternity because of the scar on her neck, she thought of that famous saying 'home is were the heart is.'

She was dreaming about when things were simple between them and the only bad thing was the whole slayer/vampire thing , before they knew about the curse she dreamed of there late night make out sessions in the graveyard and at her bedroom window and on her bed or on the sofa when her mother was home late and the previous year the tension that accompanied there training sessions have conversations in front of the fire place at the mansion or even just kissing softly in front of the fire or talking about there future and collage, patrolling together fighting the forces of evil together.

Angel was certainly a better, lover, kisser, someone she's can always count on and talk too she could always tell Angel things that were on her mind and he would listen well, and training partner then Riley ever has been. She would rather be with him and not be able to make love or have children and Sunday afternoon picnics then be with someone who she could have sex with and all those other things or without him, that's basically all her and Riley's relationship was based on sex and lust. She didn't want to have Riley's or anybodies kids if she wanted kids she would want Angel's and only Angel's kids, if she could turn back time Angel would be the only guy she has ever slept with.

Angel came out of the shower smelling better and feeling sober, but it was still daylight. He wanted to make sure not to have any liquor before heading too Sunnydale not only did he want Buffy to see him when he's having a hang over but also because being drunk and driving isn't exactly the brightest thing in the world if transportation was still by carriage or horses like it was back before he got changed it would be a different story.

Doyle came downstairs saying "Angel man!" "Wow what is it Doyle?" "I just had a vision." "What did you see?" "Well the oracles said let him 'live' and let her 'remember'" "Which means what?" "It means is that they made ya human again." "But being human won't work..." "You still have some of your vampiric skills like strength and healing powers." "and what did it mean by let her remember?" "Let Buffy remember the day that never was." "Oh so that means I can leave now. Thanks Doyle! Tell Cordelia were I went."

Angel took his keys out of his middle drawer and headed to his garage and got into his car and drove to Sunnydale.

Buffy was still sleeping in Angel's bed and started jerking getting flashes before her she jerked awake and moaned and held her head the dreams she had been having since Thanksgiving. "Oh God it must've happened oh Angel how could you just let me walk out of there oh God I feel like a complete betrayer now of Angel and our love and a slut." She needed some Mochas she left Angel's apartment and headed for the campus coffee shop and on the way she stood on the cliff were she pleaded to Angel for his life not to kill himself she stood there with tears streaming down her face as she remembered that night when she almost lost him to the first then started walking again on the same path that she and Angel walked hand in hand through the snow covered streets of Sunnydale that day they even had a snowball fight.

Angel was walking around looking for Buffy and saw Riley he was with some people but not Buffy and heard him talking too some guys about having sex with Buffy he listened and became enraged at what he was hearing he wanted to beat him up but was going to try to get Buffy to believe him. He walked some more and went into the campus coffee shop and saw her at a table alone drinking a cup of java, he ordered himself a java and went to Buffy's table he tapped her shoulder and she turned around and saw Angel and did a double take at seeing him in the sunlight she didn't care though she sat up and shouted "Angel!" She jumped into his arms and kissed him passionately he held her in place and kissed her back and she said "I missed you so much I was just about to go see you."

He darkened and Buffy said "What's the mater Angel? You can tell me anything." she sat him down in the chair she sat down in another chair she took his hand he said "I have to tell you something about Riley." "What?" "First I have to know if you trust me. Do you trust me?" "Of course I do. What do you want to tell me?" "Well I just arrived here a few minutes ago and I saw Riley talking to..." "Oh no not you too?" "What?" "You're going to tell me that he was talking about our sex filled night right?" "Well yeah I heard it with my own ears and saw it with my own eyes I thought you said you could always trust me and believe me. You just said it a few minutes ago not to mention Oz told me."

"I do believe you I heard him too." He said "You do?" "Yes!" She cupped his chin with her finger and pulled his face towards hers. Angel kissed her and Buffy kissed him back when they pulled away from each other Buffy said "I can't believe you still love me I've become a slut and a little self-absorbed self-centered bitch I especially feel like that since I remember everything from Thanksgiving." Angel said "I know Doyle had a vision and The Oracles said 'let her remember' and let him 'live' Angel covered her face with his big hand and said "Buffy there's nothing you could do to make me stop loving you." She covered his hand with hers and said "But I betray..." He placed a finger over her lips and said "Shh no you didn't you did what I wanted you to do." "I feel so bad though." She said resting her forehead against his he kissed the top of her forehead and said "I know you do, but nothing could make me stop loving you. Nothing you do or say, remember I still loved you just as much after I came out of hell were you sent me." He kissed her again and cradled her chin with his hand she kissed him back.

Meanwhile Riley walked in alone and saw his girlfriend making out with another guy he became furious and walked up to them and said "Excuse me but that's my girlfriend you're making out with." Angel looked at him and Buffy tightened her arms around him and Angel said stepping in front of her "Actually she's my wife." Buffy looked just as stunned and Riley did he mouthed 'I'll tell you later.' She nodded.

Angel stood up and stepped towards Riley Angel measured a few good inches taller then him.

"Oh come on how long have you known her 5 minutes?" "No actually for four years you've only been with her for what two weeks." Angel said glaring at the younger man and mocking him. "You couldn't possible have met much too her she never mentioned you." Buffy stood up and said "That's because our past has nothing to do with you at all and for your information Riley Angel was the first guy I ever slept with when I was seventeen and a much better person then I am now. It's true Riley I've been in love with Angel longer then I've known you, not to mention that Angel doesn't mate and tell like someone I know."

"I don't know what you're talking about?" He lied "You know exactly what I'm talking about Finn! You telling all your commando buddies about our sex filled night that almost killed an entire room full of people and not feeling remorseful over it!" "Yeah sure when Buffy and I made love I didn't go around telling everyone you know why 'cause I'm more mature and have morals and didn't mention it to anyone and kept it a secret between us like sex is suppose too be." He looked at Buffy and said "Can I beat him up baby so that he's in physical therapy for several months?"

Buffy smiled she made a gesture with her hand and said "Be my guest honey." Angel's eye's gleamed and he balled his fist up and said to Riley "Oh this is going to be a lot of fun!" Riley said trying to hide his fear "Give it your best shot I bet you can't hurt a fly." Angel took a threatening step towards him and said "You want to try me boy!" "He can Riley I've seen him kick vamp ass pretty good." "What he knows about your identity and vampires I thought it was suppose to be a secret." Riley looked towards him and said "I've taken out twenty how many have you? Five?" "Actually I lost count after the first two hundred." "You're lying!"

"No he's not lying Riley he and I have been doing this for the same amount of years we have been fighting partners before he moved to Los Angeles. Angel's the reason why I'm still alive today and have lived longer then most slayers." "Can I take him out now love?" Angel asked Buffy "Go ahead Angel!" "I'm going to enjoy every single bit of this!" Angel started to pound into Riley mercilessly he was also fighting Angel. Buffy watched amused as Angel kicked Riley's ass she said "Yes come on Angel
kick Riley's ass back to Iowa!" Angel smiled and said "Anything to satisfy my baby!" Buffy enjoyed watching Angel beat the shit out of Riley he was down on the ground and knocked unconscious Buffy saw bruises all over him she noticed that there little fight drew a large crowd Buffy saw a broken rib broken teeth cut lips broken limbs she said to Angel "Nice job honey! He's definitely going to be in physical therapy for months."

"It was my pleasure you know I would take out any guy who touches you!" Buffy smiled up at him and said "A little possessive are we, but I love it!" "Now If I could only find that Parker bastard and do the same thing to him I'd be a happy person!" "Speaking of which how could you be out in the sunlight and not burning?"

She thought something and flung her arms around him and said "I knew you kept the gem of Amara!" "Actually I didn't." "Then how did..." He silenced her with a kiss and said "Shhh I'm human!" "Even better!" "How did it happen and why did it?" "Like I said Doyle had a vision he saw that the powers said let him 'live' I don't know why though." "It's about mid-afternoon" Buffy said she thought for a bit and said "Let's head to the beach! I love going to the beach!" "I know come on!" "You need a suit." "I
know" "yeah I need to put my suit on." Buffy took a hold of Angel's hand and they headed towards her dorm room."

When Buffy and Angel arrived at Buffy's dorm room hand in hand they were all alone. Angel pulled her close and kissed her and said "Are you sure you want to go to the beach 'cause I can think of some other things we could do." He kissed her passionately she kissed him back and he started dancing them towards her bed she pulled away and said "As much as I'd love to not right now I want to go to the beach not to mention how pale you are." "Okay." They kissed one last time and Buffy went to get her swim suit.

Angel turned his back so she could change Buffy said "Angel it's okay I don't mind you looking." He turned back around towards her he lying down on his side on her bed and watched her change much to his enjoyment. She was in her suit she turned back too Angel with a smile on her face and said "enjoyed the show?" "Very much!" he got off her bed and kissed her again quickly "Okay now just let me put on a pair of shorts overalls and get you a suit." She did and put on sandals and took Angel's hand and they headed out to his car and he drove them to the mall Buffy helped him look for a suit they didn't agree on any of the suits she chose for him until they found one they could agree on that was something they both wanted and Buffy bought sun tan lotion and Angel bought a surf board and sunglasses.

Buffy wanted to do some window shopping. They stopped at Debs and Buffy saw a gorgeous dress that she couldn't take her eye's off of. It was midnight blue dress that was made of the finest silk the straps slid off the shoulders, it flowed to the floor, there was matching shoes with them, and the dress had slits up the side that reached mid-thigh she tried it on and then modeled it for Angel his breath got taken away she looked longingly at the dress and shoes running her fingers over the dress. Angel
noticed when Buffy left the store he went to the store keeper he picked up the dress and shoes that Buffy wanted and handed them to the store keeper and said "Hi can I get these delivered." "Sure were would you like this delivered and when would you." He paid the person for the outfit and delivery he told her when he would like it delivered he wrote a letter too and followed Buffy out he met her and placed his arm around her waist she said "What happened?" "I was taking care of something." "What?" He smiled secretly at her "It's a surprise."

"I like surprises!" Buffy said excitedly "Well I think you'll like this one." He said secretly "you won't get it until later though." "Okay." He lead them to his car they left the mall and headed back out to Angel's car she said "I forgot to tell you that I love your car." "Thanks!" He opened the door for her and then jumped in the drivers seat and Angel put the hood of his convertible down so that the sun could shine over them once it was down he started the car and drove them to the beach he parked the car and Buffy got out a large blanket and two towels while Angel carried the ice chest and his surf board. He placed his shades on and Buffy did the same thing."

The surf from the ocean was perfect, they spread the towels out and she opened the sun tan lotion that had UV protection and put it on her chest and arms and handed it to Angel he spread it on her stomach, then legs, and then her back with a smile on his face and on the small of her back since she was wearing a pink bikini.

Buffy said "Your turn!" "I don't need it baby." "Honey if you don't by the end of the day your going to be as red as a lobster and your skin is probably very sensitive to the sun since it hasn't been exposed to it in over two hundred years." "Okay!" Angel said reluctantly she said "that's my boy." She took it from him and rubbed it along his back, neck, his lean legs, he turned over and then spread it on his front she smiled 'he's definitely built like a god!'

She loved feeling his muscles under his skin 'he's definitely better built then Riley!' Angel loved feeling her hands on him, Angel saw the admiration in her eye's as she was gazing at his chest he said "enjoying the view baby?" "What oh yeah! I love it do all Irishman have god like bodies?" "It's one of our best traits!" Angel said proudly. Buffy giggled "You must be proud to be Irish?" "Yeah I do except the reputation we Irishman have."

"You mean being huge drinkers?" "Yeah although when I was mortal before I was like that a huge drinker and I have been lately, except before I drank for the fun of it but ever since I left Sunnydale I've been drinking out of love sickness of missing you." "Really?" He pulled her down too the blanket and kissed her she kissed him he pulled her body against his twining her leg's with his and running his fingers over her back. He took his surf board and went to the water the surf was perfect for surfing.

She sat up and saw him surfing pretty well she said "Wow!" She also noticed that Angel drew a big crowd she got the front row advantage. He caught a few more waves and there was a round of applause. Angel got out of the water and applause he went to were they were stationed he kissed her and Buffy said "That was amazing were did you learn to surf like that?"

"I got lessons from this guy who I saved he was a championship surfer and I learn things fast." "Cool I'm guessing night lessons!" "Let's go play volleyball!" "Okay!" They stood up and there arms went around each other Buffy noticed a lot of girls checking him out and she glared at all of them and held onto him possessively. Angel noticed and said "What's wrong baby?" "There's a lot of girls checking you out!" "Hay there's guys checking my girl out too."

They went towards the volleyball net there were people playing five guys against five girls, Buffy and Angel went to the team that had four and said "Need some extra people?" "Sure we would love the help." "Can we join the game?" "Sure." It was a group of girls and guys and the girls were making eye's at Angel Buffy glared at them it looked like it was girls against guys the guys were making eye's at Buffy and Angel glared at them. Buffy and Angel joined the game and it was evenly matched out.

The girls won however since Buffy was a supernatural being Angel was also, but not as super natural as Buffy. When the game was over Buffy and Angel went back to there blanket and lied down holding each other they took food out and fed each other food. They kissed each other for a while and Buffy said "Let's go swimming" they ran into the ocean and swam for a while. Buffy took his head and ducked him underwater he got his head out of the water and kissed her wrapping his arm around her while they made out in the water.

After a while Buffy said "Try and catch me!" She got out of the water and started running Angel ran after her and then swept her up in his arms he spun her around and said with a smile "I caught you!" She giggled and wrapped her arms around his neck he kissed her while spinning her and carried her back too their towels their noses touching and smiling at one another.

Buffy looked at Angel's golden brown skin she said "Now you've got a really nice tan! You look sexy with a tan!" "So do you!" He said brushing his fingers under her chin she looked and said "yeah we match now!" "I think we should go it's getting cold." "Okay." Angel offered his hand out too her and pulled her up and together they carried there things back to his car he put a long sleeved white shirt on and pants and left his shirt open Buffy walked back down to the beach and she felt Angel's strong
arms wrap around her. She leaned back into his chest and reached back and stroked his cheek with her hand and said "How did you find me here?" "If I was blind I would see you!" "Stay with me?" "Forever that's The Whole Point. I'll never leave ever again..." he leaned down and whispered into her ear "Not even if you kill me." She smiled at the lines that were repeated in one of the dreams she had when he was in hell.

The waves washed in and out of the shore and together they watched the sunset along the horizon of the endless pacific ocean Buffy said "It's so beautiful." "Yeah not as beautiful as you are!" Angel said into her ear and started sucking and kissing it. As they watched the last rays of the sun vanish over the horizon they went back to Angel's car Buffy started feeling chilly from swiming, Angel rubbed up and down her arms happy that he had body heat now and said "You okay?" "Yeah I'm fine just cold from being in the water." "Okay!" When they arrived at his car he took out a leather jacket of his and put it on over her shoulders and asked "Is that better?" "Yeah! Thank you!" She reached up and kissed him softly. Angel dropped Buffy off at the dorms and said "Were going out to dinner I'll pick you up at 8:00 P.M."

"What time is it?" "It's seven right now I'm going to head back to the mansion and shower and change." "Okay." Buffy said she reached up and kissed him she went up to her dorm room and the last time since she felt so happy was that day when Angel became human at Thanksgiving. She took out her shower stuff and slipped shower shoes on and went to the bathroom. She came out and was about to find something to put on, when there was a knocking at the door. She opened the door and she got a box and a dress in a bag from Deb's she saw the dress she was eyeing.

She took the note and found a poem written by Angel and a drawing of her modeling the dress she took the box and found matching shoes. She put it on and the shoes and spun it in the mirror she ran a brush gently through her blonde curls on her hair Willow came in and saw Buffy admiring herself in a mirror wearing a new dress. Willow said "Oh my God Buffy were did you get this dress? It's beautiful!" "Angel's taking me out to dinner and we went window shopping and he bought me this dress."

"So I guess this means you two are back together? What about the whole...." They were interrupted by a knocking at the door Buffy opened it and admired Angel in a tux Willow saw he had a tan and so did Buffy. He said "You look amazing my love!"

He handed her a dozen yellow and purple long stemmed roses and said "Oh thank you there so beautiful! Were did you get them yellow and purple roses are so hard to find" he smiled sweetly at her and said "I guess I'm just lucky today."

She reached up too kiss him passionately "and thank you for the dress and shoes!" "I just couldn't resist!" "How did you afford it?" "Buffy honey I'm over two hundred years old I'm very financially set. I have enough money to last me for quite a couple lifetimes." "Right." Buffy said embarrassed. Willow said "Angel what happened how come you've got a tan if you cant go out in the sun? Oz said you destroyed the Gem of Amara." "I did Willow. I'm human with most of my vamp skills like strength, agility, abilities, and healing but I can go out in the sunlight, survive off human food but I have non of there weaknesses." "Congratulations! So you two were spending the whole day at the beach?" "Yeah that's why we look so tanned."

"I've never seen Angel as nothing but pale." "Well not anymore." "I can see that!" "Well we'd better go I've got reservations at 8:00." "Were are you guys eating?" "He hasn't told me it's a surprise and I'm staying at the mansion tonight Will." "Okay but what about Riley?" "Broke up with him. Angel pounded him so that he's in physical therapy for months." "Angel you defended the women you love! That is so romantic!" Angel smiled at Willow and then Buffy and said "No one uses the women I love
without paying for it!" "Bye Will see you tomorrow." "Yeah and it's good to know you two are back together."

Buffy packed a bag and she and Angel left the dorms he offered her his arm and said "Shall we go ma' lady?" He said with his Irish accent. She looped her arm through his and said "It would be an honor!" He lead them out to his car and he opened the door for her she smiled and then he went into the drivers seat and Buffy said "So were are we going to eat?" "You'll see!" They arrived at one of the fanciest restaurants in Los Angeles. "This place must be a fortune! How did you get in here?" "I saved the owner of the restaurant from a couple of chaos demons and get this Drusilla was with one of them and he said I can eat here anytime on the house."

"Well Spike did say that she left him for a chaos demon so it's not a shock. I'm surprised she hasn't been captured by the Initiative yet like how Spike was and becoming a neutered puppy like Spike." "I'm sure she's probably still going to get captured." "Wow I guess that helping people out is really paying off!" "Yeah even though I don't like taking offers from people but Cordelia insist that I do!"

"Sounds like typical Cordy!" Angel laughed Buffy loved hearing Angel laugh it was music too her ears. She noticed that he seemed like a totally different person. They got seated and started a wonderful conversation Buffy then brought up the question that's been bugging her all day "Angel how are we going to do this. I mean we live in different cities and lead different lives." Angel took her hand and kissed the top of it "don't worry baby we'll figure something out."

During the meal they talked about there solutions until they came to a final decision "We could always do the long distance relationship, or I could move to an apartment or to the mansion and commute to L.A.." "Really you would move back to Sunnydale!" "Yes love after all L.A. and Sunnydale are only two hours apart and I'm tired of being away from you baby!" "Me too!" "Okay it's settled then! You'll move back to the mansion and commute to L.A.! I like it!"

They finished there meal and Angel paid for it. They headed out to Angel's car and he had to get gas first and then and once his tank was filled up and paid for he headed too the mansion in his convertible his arm resting comfortable around her waist. They arrived at the mansion and Buffy brought her bag into Angel's bedroom and took her dress off she put on a pair of black leather pants and a red satin halter top on while Angel set up a fire in the fire place. Buffy came out of the bedroom and said "Is there anything else planed?" He looked at her and smiled with satisfaction "Loving the leather baby!" "Thank you!" "Do you want to go to a movie?" "What's playing?" "Let's see!" Angel sat up and got a copy of the Sunnydale press. He opened it and they looked through the movies. Buffy said "How about we go see 'The Patriot' Mel Gibsons latest movie!" "What is it about?" Angel asked Buffy told him what it's about and Buffy said "besides the time it takes place is when you were mortal before?" "America's Independence?" "Actually I wasn't I was already a vampire then I got changed in 1753 I was already over twenty year old vampire in 1776. I think at the time Darla and I were still hunting together and Darla was teaching me the ways of the hunt we were in China at the time." "Oh then Willow was wrong."

"What do you mean?" "Well when we started dating and when I backed out of our date because Cordelia was in full flirt mode looking so nice and I was a mess we looked at one of Giles' watcher diaries and we saw a drawn picture of a noble women in it." "I drew that you know it was how I remembered first seeing Darla."

Buffy felt a twinge of jealousy at the mention of Angel's sire and old lover he noticed and said "That was before I met you love. I love you more then I ever did Darla more then anyone I've ever met. I have more drawings of you then anyone else." "Can I see them sometime?" "Sure after we get back. My demon was even in love with you." "Really?" "Of course why would you been his object of affection?" Buffy grinned and said "So can we go see 'The Patriot?'" "Whatever you want baby." "Okay! Let's go!" Angel put on his leather pants and red silk shirt. Buffy said "We match!" "I know!"

She took her leather jacket and so did Angel and they decided to walk too the theater. They paid for there tickets and found seat's in the back row the theater was already packed out and Angel came with pop corn, bottles of water, and candy. Buffy giggled when she saw all the snacks Angel get. She said "Angel if you don't watch what you eat your going to ruin that sexy body of yours!" "I know that baby it's just that I saw all sorts of candy out on the stand of things they didn't have back in the 1700's and I'm so hungry!" Buffy giggled again and said "Well how long has it been since you last ate food over two hundred years ago." "Yeah that's true but don't worry baby whenever I eat food I'll just work it all off. I mean I work out almost everyday!" "That's true you do." The theater turned dark and Buffy and Angel went to making out during the previews and were stopped by somebody behind them telling them that they couldn't see the screen. Angel put his arm around Buffy's shoulder she snuggled closer to him and they watched the movie. When it was over it was pass midnight.

Buffy and Angel left there spots and Angel placed his arm around her shoulders she held his hand with hers and moved closer to him. "So what did you think of the movie Angel?" "I just remembered how ugly my clothes were back then compared to now and having long hair." "I can just imagine you with long hair. Okay I think I actually like it."

Angel laughed and said "You're serious?" "Yes I am I actually think it'd be sexy." She had a far away look in her eyes and Angel said "Hello Buffy?" "Oh sorry!" He said while laughing "Were did you go?" "I went to last time we saw a movie together you know that foreign film?" Angel was blank and said "Oh yeah I remember. Boy was that bracing!" He said remembering how tense they were around each other after the movie. Buffy laughed and said "Yeah we were also the only couple at the cinema that weren't making out!"

"Well we were but later we were kissing until Faith interrupted us!" He caressed her cheek with the back of his fingers and said "Well she's not here now!" Angel leaned down too kiss her she kissed him back and their kisses got deeper.

They stopped when oxygen became an issue he whispered "Let's head back too my place!" Buffy grinned and they headed back to the mansion, but not before getting some food and prepared for a night of food and fun re-creating the day that never was and they fell asleep holding each other. Whispering words of love to each other.
