Disclaimer: I really really hate these but their required. They are not mine they never have been and they never will be I really wish they were though 'cause heaven knows I'd treat them a whole lot better then their actually owners.
Spoliers: Nothing much except maybe references for 'Hero' except Doyle doesn't die 'cause I love him very much. With a little twist Buffy is apart of their crew now in my universe.
Timeline: Two weeks later
Authors Note: This is a sequal too my other two stories "Okay Let's Talk About This" and "Telling Everybody" so I hope you enjoy. I've seen "Hero" a few times but I dont remember every single part of it so forgive me in advance if somethings wrong. I know I made Cordelia's attitude totally different then it was in the actual episode or maybe if Angel would've stayed human with his strength maybe she would've acted like this. I dont care this is my universe! Not Joss' universe his universe sucks!

Prologue

It's been two weeks since Buffy moved in with Angel and last week Cordelia had the comercial finished and was showing it too him "Okay there is an arieal shot of downtown L.A. and theirs a narrative voice like maybe that bald Patrick Stewart Star Trek guy saying 'it's a big dangerous city out their.' Cut to a girl walking on the street let's say a young beautiful talented rising actress" and it showed Cordelia walking down the street "okay she's going to an addition she's totally nervous uno momento vulnerable okay then the bald Star Trek guy person comes back on and says 'Danger lurks around every corner' sundenally the young beautiful talented actress is attacked by a big ugly mugger."

Buffy came upstairs amuzed with the comercial she was wearing a long black skirt that had slits up both sides that reached her mid-thigh and the red velvet mid-riff she let Willow borrow on Halloween three years ago.

She saw that the comercial showing Cordelia getting attacked "the actress says 'help is their anyone who can help me' the Star Trek guy comes on 'were can you turn too if you need help, and low affordable rates.'" Then it showed a figure in the shadows moving to attack then the mugger runs away and it shows Angel's face and the camera zooms in on Angel and then Angel says "You can count on me because I'm the dark avenger!" Angel looked skeptic and said "The what?" "The Dark Avenger." Cordelia repeated "The dark avenger whatever you say Cordelia."

Buffy smiled and went towards Angel hearing the click of her strappy platform sandles against the floor she said wrapping her arms around his neck from behind and said "Oh I dont know Angel I think it's a pretty sexy nickname for you!" He ran his hand slowly up her arm and let out a small chuckle and smiled at her Cordelia smiled at them and said "You two are so cute!" Buffy said "We know that Cordy!" Angel traced small circles with his fingers over her arms.

Cordelia said "Buffy I love your new hair style I haven't told you that yet." Her hair was still long but she had a curled perm. "Thanks it was Angel's idea he decided I should do something different with my hair." Angel just nodded and said "I love her hair curled like it is it makes her look sexy and more beautiful then ever!" Buffy blushed and said "Your so sweet!"

Buffy sat in his lap and nuzzled his nose he nuzzled her back she traced her fingers along his cheek bone and he did the same too her and then Angel tapped her nose and then they kissed. They only stopped when Cordelia said "Ugh not that I'm happy that you guys are together again but could you please lay off the PDA's when I'm present?" They shrugged and Buffy said "Okay we'll just head downstairs then." "I'm not going to walk in on you two!" They went to the elevator and Angel closed the gates and pushed the down button.

Part 1

Doyle entered and he said "Were they making you sick again?" "Yeah it's getting tireing and sick." "Ask yourself this princess would you rather prefer Angel to be pinning after Buffy 24/7 or would you rather see him happy and cheerful? Him being happy and cheerful is better for the buisness you want so badly." "I understand what your talking about but them being lovey dovey all the time it's getting sickening and with him being human now it's worst!"

"Now I'm starting too see that Angel is all wrong for this comercial your not sappose to advertise hero's we need a common person, we need one of the hero's workers." She looked towards Doyle and said "Your perfect!" "Me?" "Yes you!" "I--I guess I can take a shot at it." "Great now I just need to set up."

Cordelia put the q-cards up and turned the video camera on Cordelia said "Action!" "When your in trouble and your at thee end of your rope come on down to our offices we will listen to your problems and offer low rats..." "rates!" Cordelia said gently "it says rats." "Just continue" "Come down to our offices and you'll see that theirs still people you can count on who will always listen to your problems restore hope when it cant be found anywere else, and you'll see that theirs still hero's in this world. Is that it am I done." Cordelia had tears in her eye's she couldn't believe that she wrote these lines they were so beautiful.

Part 2

She broke out of her reverie and said "Yes it was perfect and so heartwarming." "Well you wrote them." "I know and I cant believe I did." "Well princess you did." "I know"

Doyle said "How can we do buisness with our entire lack of Investigator lincenses'?" "And Who needs Investigators license when we have no clients!" Cordelia said testily "Will manage princess we always do! Especially when people hear about our low rats." "I hope your right, dont they ever stay upstairs? How are we sappose to do this buisness if our boss is hardly upstairs?" "Well Angel said they were going to be training. I"ll go talk too them." "Hopefully they are training."

Doyle reached the last step and for sure Buffy and Angel were training in his training corner Angel had on a black muscle shirt and a pair of sweat pants Buffy had on black wind pants with white double stripes on the side and a sports bra.

They were sparing with each other he was amazed at how they work together they move like one mind and body. Doyle said "Is this a private sparing commitee or can anyone watch?" They stopped and Angel asked "what do you want?" "Well theres a girl upstairs who's upset but not upset enough the cry in my arms." Buffy said "After we work out and shower then we'll come upstairs. Tell that too Cordy." "Yeah sure thing." Doyle said and went back upstairs.

They were training for a few more hours. Buffy longed for a shower she took her robe and took her sweaty clothes off and went into the bathroom she took her robe off and got in the shower a few minutes later she heard the bathroom door open and she heard Angel deep husky voice say "Need some company in their little lady?" Buffy stepped out of the shower and rubbed her body seductively against him as well as her hand and said "Yeah I could you can help me wash my back and those hard to reach places." She went back in giving Angel a sugestive look she stepped in and Angel followed her in.

Part 3

Doyle and Cordelia were sitting outside of Angel Investigations drinking capichino they were talking Cordelia said "I'm so glad that Buffy and Angel are happy they deserve it, and in a few more months their probilly going to get married." Doyle said "Yeah and it'll probilly go better then Harry's and Mine marriage did." "How is she are you two keeping in touch?" "Yeah she's going to be staying in L.A." "Oh so I guess you two will be seeing a lot of each other then." "Yeah but probilly not at first we both need time and space away from each other so then we can move on with our lives. I'll miss her though but it's my fault I should've made her happy."

Cordelia nodded and said "Moving on is good!" "Yeah I think that our marriage would have stood a better chance if we had conversations, taken things slow, and gotten to know each other, but Buffy and Angel they have all that stuff they had conversations they took time too get to know each other I mean they've known and have been dating on and off for almost four years have they not?" "Yeah they have been dating on and off for almost four years." "It's increadible I mean most realationships have lasted a couple months or maybe a couple of years and most relationships don't work out. The only relationships that last about four years are those who know that their going to marry the person there with, not to mention the fact that they've been through so much together even hell and back literally. They also had to do self-control for a year because of the whole soul problem and they've been through so much together their relationship has been through hell and tested many times."

"Yeah well now their is no soul problem and they get pelvic at every chance they can get." "Princess put yourselves in their shoes. Try doing see but no touch for almost a year because of a curse and see how you feel. I'm sure it's just a phase and besides their relationship is probilly not based on just sex. I mean they've gone out to lunch, they've had picnics they have gotten up to watch the sunrise and watch the sunsets, they've gone dancing, and were hanging out at Santa Monica at least twice this week with us. They've patrolled L.A. a few times and have gone to the beach to pratice Tai Chi." "Yeah we've gone on a lot of double dates haven't we since Buffy moved back here."

Cordelia laughed when she said "Yeah Buffy was introducing Angel too all sorts of carnival junk food when we went to Santa Monica, and he was ravinous for the new foods that Buffy introduced him too it was so cute and funny." Doyle joined her and said "yeah it was pretty entertaining besides I dont think they nearly had as much food availiable in the 1700's as they do now, and Buffy and Angel still manage too stay in good shape and Buffy is a pretty nice, very beautiful, and caring lass." "They work out pratically everyday Doyle!"

Cordelia said she was starting to fall in love with Doyle these last couple weeks. Okay so he wasn't rich, tall and dark he was handsome though, sweet, caring, interesting , brave and Cordy thought that the whole Irish accent thing was pretty sexy. When they have gone on double dates with Buffy and Angel she was starting to fall in love with him more and more each day.

Doyle felt it was about time for him to tell Cordelia his big secret and ask her out too dinner he moved closer too her and said "Cordy theres something I've been wanting to tell you for a long time." "What? We shouldn't be keeping secrets from each other niether one of us." "Well I dont think we have to worry about Buffy and Angel keeping secrets from each other they've always been honest with one another. Anyway I have a secret of me own I'm not the kind of......." He twitched and grabbed his head in pain Cordelia looked at the people walking by and said "Oh I know this one head numbing, head banging.."

Her voice drained out away from him and the vision was a family of baracah half demons like himself that were in hidding and a group of people chasing after them when the vision ended Cordelia asked "What you just saw now did it look like they could pay?" "I've got to get Buffy and Angel." "I suggest you wait a little while" "I'll knock first." "What about that thing you wanted to tell me?" "I'll tell it too you later. What I just saw was more important."

Doyle sat up and went back into the building and downstairs to Angel's bat cave the door too his room was shut and he knocked on the door and said "You two had better be decent cause I'm comin in."

Buffy and Angel were lying on his bed making out they heard Doyle's voice on the other side the quickly slipped on their robes and Doyle came in. They straightend out their hair and Buffy made sure her lipstick smear. Angel said "Whats going on Doyle?" "I just had a vision." "What did you see?" Buffy asked "Theirs a group of Berracah half demons like meself. Who look like their being tracked by some full breed demons." Buffy and Angel looked at each other and Buffy said "Then we'd better get going did you see were they were hidding?"

Their were two people with green faces running down the street and they disapered into an underground tunnel as a group of people in heavy boots tramped on by almost like they were in beat like the Nazi's.

Part 4

Buffy, Angel, and Doyle were at somebodies house it was empty and Buffy asked "Doyle are you sure this is the place that the vision showed you?" "It must be I can smell it." Angel said Doyle went over to a plate and said "Yeah this food is still warm." "No not that I smell blood" "good thing The Powers That Be returned all the good vampire qualities too Angel" Buffy said to herself "Were's the smell coming from man?"

Angel tracked the smell and lifted a rug and underneath it there was a hidden doorway "here" he lifted it up and the three of them flashed flashlights down into the hidden doorway were a group of people stood there terified Angel said "Dont be afraid were here to help you."

Doyle and Angel went down and Angel offered his arms out too Buffy she jumped into them and he helped her too the ground. One of the people said to Buffy and Angel "our prophesy is true, it's the promised one." "The promised one." "Yeah most of our prophsies come true and one of them is 'in the closing days of this century their shall be a promised one, and he will save us from the scourge." "The scourge?" Buffy and Angel asked together a teenage boy said "how can you be sure they dont even know what the scourge is!" Buffy approched Reef with her hands on his waist and said "Well that was certainly rude! We come here to help you and your acting all rud..." "Buffy!" Angel said in a warning voice.

Doyle gestured Buffy and Angel into a corner away from the family of half demons, Buffy said "What are they talking about Doyle they think that Angel is some kind of savior!" "Whats the Scourge?" Angel asked Doyle looked at them and said "Death!"

Buffy and Angel listend tentavely as Doyle told them how he knew about the Scourge and when he got his first vision from the powers that be because he had to pay his debt for not helping the family of half demons before when he found out about his demon half, "When I got my first vision I thought I was having a stroke, I didn't know what the images meant I went to the place that they showed me to see if they were real or not. These guys are going to need more then there legendary 'promised one' you and Buffy cant fight the Scourge Angel."

Buffy said frantically "Angel how are we going to help these people if Doyle says we cant beat this Scourge thingy?" Angel looked towards Buffy and said "We wont have too fight them Buffy, because were going to get them out of here before the Scourge finds them."

Part 5: Later That Night

Cordy was at the L.A. harbor on peir twelve waiting for Doyle to come back with the Reef who escaped more then once. One of the braccah half demons came up too Cordy and said "We cant thank you and your friends enough. I only wonder whats taking Doyle and Reef so long." Cordelia said "Oh dont worry they'll be here." "Yeah Doyle's a good one he understands our suffering" "Yeah thats Doyle" "Yeah he's a good half man." Cordelia said suspiciously "Half man."

The captain of the boat said "were is he this ship is moving fast and I'm not going to wait for anybody," "He'll be here I know he will." "Angel said he'd cut my debt in half if I did this favor for him." "Yeah good in half fifty percent and he will." "Sixty percent and I'll wait longer." "You drive a hard bargin!"

Doyle and Reef finally arrived and Cordy said "There they are." Doyle and Reef got on the boat Cordelia went over to Doyle and said "Your alive." Cordelia said with no emotion Doyle said puzzled "and your not thrilled?" Cordelia slapped him and Doyle said "Hay what was that fer?" "Why didn't you tell me you were a half demon I thought we agreed that secrets were bad!" Doyle said "I was going to tell you I thought if you knew you'd reject me because I really like you Cordy. I have ever since I first saw you."

"Reject you I rejected you long before that so your half demon big whop it's way down there on the list with short and poor! I cant believe you think I'd actually care about that I work for an ex-vampire for crying out loud! So is there anything *else* you'd like to tell me?" "No no the half demon thing is pretty much my big secret." "Well good thats out! Now will you ask me to dinner already?" Cordelia said surprising Doyle when she saw the look on his face she smiled at him.

Doyle said "Yes Cordelia would you like to go out to din....." She saw Buffy and Angel ride up on a motorcycle Angel was driving it and Buffy was sitting behind him with her arms wrapped around Angel was wearing boots and uniform Angel had his hair moosed back Buffy was wearing black leather pants, a blue sweater with three quater inch sleaves, and the black leather jacket Angel gave her a long time ago not long after they first met. Cordelia said "Look theres Buffy and Angel."

Buffy and Angel saw Cordelia and Doyle standing up on the ships bridge they ran to join them and Cordelia and Doyle saw a whole bunch of people wearing the same thing as Angel driving up on motorcycles and a truck that had a huge beckon in it.

Cordelia asked "Who is that and what is that?"

Buffy answered "The Scourge."

"The Scourge?"

"A group of pure blood demons trying to kill off all half demons," Doyle explained.

Part 6

Angel grabbed the railing of the balcony and pulled himself up. He leaned against it to catch his breath and saw the beakon lowering into the ship. "It's going to detanate," he whispered to himself. "Get out!! Everybody get
out, now!!!"

Below him, everybody scrambled toward the exits. Angel turned around and came face to face with the leader of the Scourge. He grabbed Angel by the neck.

"Welcome to a cleaner world. Soon only the pure will be left standing," he said with an evil grin.

Angel pushed him off. "Actually, pure boy," he grabbed the leader by the neck. "You'll be on your ass," he said and snapped it like a twig.

Below Doyle, Cordelia, and Buffy were trying to open the doors. "There locked from the outside. Were trapped."

Angel ran to join them on the platform where they where standing. They looked out at the beakon. It was getting lower and brighter.

Buffy asked "What does that thing do?" Angel said "It kills anything with human blood."

"Well, it's getting brighter and that little do-hickeys..." Doyle paused. "It's fully armed isn't it?"

"Almost. If I can pull, I think I can still shut it off."

Cordelia shouted "Are you crazy Angel that's suicide!" "How are you going to do that without touching the light?" Buffy asked.

Angel looked at her with a sad face. As she met his eyes, a realization dawned inside of her.

"No, No!" she said sternly, shaking her head. "No please please, dont leave me again!! I just got you back! Remember I told you that I vowed that I wasn't going to lose you again!"

"Buffy, I know but..." He took a step towards her. "There's no other choice."

Buffy walked up to him and wrapped her arms around him. "There has to be some other way."

Angel said. "I love you. I'm sorry things have to be this way." He hugged her tighter.

"I understand but my life has no meaning without you." She pulled back a little to gently kiss him on the mouth. "I love you, too," she said clinging to him like he was her lifeline and sobbed into his chest. While Angel just nuzzled her and stroked the back of her hair softly. Angel couldn't go without doing one more thing he took Buffy into his arms and kissed her passionately for the last time ever.

Angel reluctantly let her go were she stood with a dreamy look on her face and turned to face Doyle and Cordelia. Angel hugged Cordelia and then put his hand on Doyle's shoulder.

"It's a good fight, yeah?" Doyle looked at him sadly. "You never know until you've been tested. I know that, now." He saw Buffy strugilling not to cry Angel went over too her and placed a hand on her cheek too wipe her tears away "Please Buffy dont cry." Buffy whispered "Please don't Angel I cant lose you not again." "There's no other choice. Just remember I have loved you ever since I first saw you standing outside of your old high school sucking on a red lollipop skipping down the steps of your old high school smiling in the sun and you got called to your destiny." He kissed her one last time and started to walk away Doyle saw Buffy put her hands up to her face and started to cry Doyle went over to her and hugged Buffy trying to give her some comfort she took his comfort and cried into his chest.

Angel nodded at him and turned to the beakon, which was getting lower and brighter by the second. Behind him Doyle looked as if he was going to push him off the edge of the platform for Buffy's sake she had walked away not wanting to see Angel die, but something flew into him, knocking both him and Angel off the edge.

"Yeah, it is a good fight. For a good cause, too." Buffy looked down at them. "But this isn't one that either of you have to die for."

"Buffy, what do you think you're doing?" Cordelia demanded grabbing her arm.

"Disabling this beakon thingy." Buffy took a couple steps, then stooped down and picked up a mase she had spotted earlier during her embrace with Angel. "Must have had a shipment of weapons lately."

Part 7

Below them Doyle and Angel picked themselves up off the ground. "I sure hope she knows what she's doing." Doyle prayed looking up at the platform Buffy pushed them from.

"She's knows or she wouldn't have pushed us," Angel reassured him. "I just wish she said something instead off pushing us," Angel moaned and put a hand to his head and also looking worriedly at his beloved afraid he might lose her.

"Come on let's get up there and see if we can help."

Part 8

Buffy walked to the edge of the platform, with the mase in hand. *Oh, god, I hope this works,* she thought looking down at all the people scrambling about trying to find a way out. *If not...* She looked over at Angel and mouthed to him "I love you." He looked back up at her and mouthed back "I love you."

She took a deep breath and sighed. Raising the mase she swung it around a few times and then she aimed it for the middle of the beakon, closed her eyes and let it go.

The mase flew in a neat line towards the center of the beakon, hitting it dead on. The light flashed bright and Buffy held up her arms, shielding her eyes, as did everyone else.

The light died out and Cordelia peeked out from behind her fingers. "Is it over?" she asked in a frightened voice.

"Yeah, it's over."

Behind them Doyle and Angel were climbing up the ladder to them.

"Doyle!" Cordelia ran to him. "You big jerk! Don't ever try anything like that again." She hit him on the shoulder then hugged and kissed him passionately. She let go were Doyle said amazed "Wow!" and turned to Angel. "You either!" she said shaking her finger at him. Turning back to Doyle, she asked, "Walk me home?"

"Sure thing princess." Doyle replied wrapping his arm around her shoulder. Cordelia said "Will see you two tomarow." "Yup see you tomarow Cordy." They said together.

Part 9

Buffy looked towards Angel and said "I think I see a future relationship happening with those two." "I agree with you come on we'd better get home too." He put his arm around Buffy's shoulders protectively "I just hope that they'll get out of here safe those beraccah half demons." "Me too baby but I trust the captain to get them were there going."

When they got back to Angel Investigations they went too Angel's bat cave. When they got downstairs Buffy said "Angel I have something to tell you." "What?" "Well you know how I've been sick the last few days?" "Yeah." "Well I'm pregnant were going to have a baby and you almost gave this up." She said placing a hand on her tummy Angel smiled and said "Yeah I'm glad you convinced me not to give it all up." A huge smile broke out across Angel's face and he said "Were going to have a baby!" "Yeah" "Were going to have a baby I'm going to be a father!" Now Buffy was smiling she nodded "This is so great!" He lifted her up and spun her around a few times.

Buffy begin to feel queazy and said "Angel please dont." He put her down and once her feet touch the ground she ran off towards the bathroom and threw up.

Once she came back Angel blushed and remorse washed over his handsome features and he said "Sorry I just got so happy" Buffy put her arms around his neck she kissed him softly and said "It's okay I understand" she reashured him. "Let's go to bed I'm tired." "Okay I have to go lock the office first. Since I changed my hours." "Okay I'll just lay down and wait for you." "Okay" he kissed her and headed upstairs Angel put the closed sign up too his company he turned the alarm system on and locked all the doors and turned off all the lights and headed back downstairs too his batcave he took his shirt and pants off so he would just be wearing his boxers

On to: Girls Day Out and Surprises
