Girls Day Out and Surprises

Timeline: This takes place two months after IWRY Buffy is three months pregnant.
Authors Note: This is another story in my unamed series that I started. I
guess part of it could have to do with Buffy's birthday since it's now January. He's still human and has all the good quilties of a vampire so he's
kinda a mortal vampire he has all there strengths and non of there weeknesses.
Summery: This is basically what the title is Cordelia and Buffy go on a girls
day out and Angel is motivated to give her better memories for her birthday with Doyle's help note that Doyle is still alive cause I like him much better
then Wesley! I'm sorry all you Wesley fans.
Buffy's birthday was a month away she didn't like that day she was sitting in
Angel's bat cave reading a book. Angel was out on a case that he told her only he could handle and she was sitting on the couch. Plus he was being over
protective of her because she was pregnant. Like most husbands and faithful boyfriends are when there girlfriend or wife is pregnant.
She heard the elevator open he was back from his case he saw Buffy she was reading a book but had a troubled expresion across her face he said "Buffy
whats wrong?" He asked and went towards her and sat down next too her taking her hands with his she set the book down on the coffee table "The fact that
January 19th is exactly a month away." "Baby it's your birthday." Angel said as he moved some of her hair away from her face "Yeah exactly! Why do I have
too have it!" "Honey it's your birthday! Your golden birthday to be exact." "I know I just dont exactly have the greatest memories for my birthday from
the last two years." "Oh I understand it's mostly my fault." He said with remorse in his voice.
Buffy covered Angel's hand with her own and ran her fingers along his hand then held it with her own and said "No Angel it was the demon that was in
your body and the councils fault. Last year it was because Giles poisioned me and a physco vamp went after my mother but the thing you said too me and the
poetry book you gave me that I still have it made my eighteenth birthday special, and on my seventeenth birthday well you became him, but my
seventeenth birthday was everything I ever dreamed of you gave me the best gift I could ask for true love you showed me how wonderful it could be and
the claddagh you gave me, and then you told me you loved me and then you showed me by making love too me. It was everything I could ever of dreamed of
for my first time."
"It was my best birthday ever, it was just the day after that was uber-suck."
Angel moved some stray hairs out of her eyes and said "Dont worry baby who knows it might be better this year." "How?" "I'll make your birthday better
this year I promise." "You promise me?" "You can work on it if you want to I cant help because Cordelia and I were going to go shopping today." "Okay do
you need to borrow money?" "Yes I would really like that!" Angel went into his jeans pocket and got out his wallet he gave her five one hundred dollar
bills his visa card and money bank card Buffy got out her wallet and put the two credit cards into her wallet and the money Angel gave her.
Buffy got dressed in a pair of khaki capri's and a purple halter top and
purple strappy sandles Angel looked at Buffy's outfit and said "You know with your pregnancy starting to show you wont be able to wear clothes like that
and personally I think thats a good idea" "Hay I happen to like the way I dress!" "Yeah but when were walking through Los Angeles theres a lot of
little boys checking you out!" Angel put on black jeans, a blue silk shirt, and leather jacket Angel dropped Buffy off at Cordelia's apartment he gave
her a passionate kiss and then Angel drove off.
Buffy knocked on Cordelia's apartment door Dennis answered the door and invited Buffy in she said "Thank you Dennis." Buffy sat down on the couch
Cordelia came out of her room picking up her purse and said "Hay Buff how are you both of you?" "Were both fine." Buffy said assuming she was talking about
the baby "Are you ready to go Cordy?" "Yeah how about you?" "Defenently it's
been such a long time since I've went shopping at the Beverly Hills mall!" The two girls giggled and Cordelia picked up her car keys and they went out
too her car Buffy imedieatly buckled her seat belt she knew what kind of driver Cordelia was she started driving Buffy was surprised by after a couple
miles Cordy was a much better driver then she remembered.
They arrived at the Beverly Hills Mall Cordelia parked the car and she turned
on the Anti-theft system Cordelia said "Ready to do some expensive shopping?" "Oh yeah!" "Then let's go too it!" The two girls went into the Beverly Hill's
Mall.The first store they went into was 'Nordstrom' and both girls immdietly went to the designer clothes Buffy found a sequent silver halter top and
matching black dress pants with it, Buffy gave Cordelia a red dress that had black swirls on it she said "Cor I think you should try this on." Cordelia
investigated it she put looked at it with a mirrior and said "It's really great." She went into the changing rooms and Buffy took her outfit into one
of the cubilcals and tried it on they came out of the changing rooms and looked at there outfits they tried on Cordelia said "You have to buy that
Buffy it looks awesome." "Yours looks pretty good to."
They went looking again and Cordelia held out a green silk dress and said "Buff you have too try this outfit on." Buffy went back into the changing
room and put on the dress she came out and looked it over Cordy said "Buff you defenently need to get this dress." They continued looking around the
mall and Buffy found a long red dress that had a slit up the side and a matching red tank top and she tried it on and decided to buy it. They got a
few more outfits and bought them. They walked around the mall carrying four or five shopping bags from 'Nordstrom' Buffy wanted to stop by a leather
store they did and Buffy bought Angel a couple pairs of Black leather pants she bought a couple pairs herself Cordelia said "You really like seeing Angel
wear black leather pants."
"God yes he looks so sexy in them thats something I loved about him when he was Angelus the black leather pants and his black silk shirts oh God he was
sexy but then again anything that he wears thats leather is sexy!" They walked out of the biker store carying three bags.While they were walking to
another one of the stores they wanted to go too Buffy decided to get into some girl talk she said "So how are things working out between you and Doyle?
You two seem to be getting along great and you make such a cute couple." "I really like him in fact I think I'm in love with him." "I know I can tell by
the look in your eye's whenever you metion his name they glaze over and make you look like someone who's in love like I do whenever someone mentions
Angel's name." "I mean he doesn't have the whole I'm a dark avenger look that Angel does but he has the whole accent thing working for him he's also very
sweet, loving, brave, interesting. Do you know that he started a whole bar fight when someone called me a whore?"
"Really! Angel got the same way when the mayor called me a whore he was so pissed off that he broke a window of some sort by throwing the Mayor against
a glass door in my hospital room!" "The only thing that bothers me about Doyle is that he drinks too much also the whole half demon thing." "You'll
get use too his demon side in time Cordy and besides Angel told me he never uses it because he hates fighting like that even though it makes him
stronger." "Yeah well when you found out that Angel was a vampire he wasn't probilly keeping it from you. I was told by one of those other half demons
that we helped save."
"Actually Cordy he did but I didn't know he was a vampire until we kissed for the first time and he lost control and vamped out, but trust me in time
you'll never even know it's there when it really is I mean after Angel and I
started dating I didn't even notice his vampire visage and the drinking Angel told me it is like a major Irish costom for some reason." "Well Angel's Irish
and he doesn't drink too much the only time ever since I've been here that he's been totally hung over is like when he's majorly thinking about you and
leaving you in the past," "thats because he told me when Darla changed him he was drunk and when he was mortal before he was a major drinker like Doyle
also a trouble maker he was also a pratically joker, and some stuff I dont want to mention"
"Why not?" Then Cordelia hit a realization "Oh he was a scoundral and took advantage of women with his looks and charm?" "That about sums it up he was
like Parker when he was mortal before useing women to get his own pleasure and his father was ashamed too call him his son." "Oh poor Angel" "I know I
felt bad for him too when he told me that, but now he such a different person I'll bet his father would be proud of him at how he's changed." "I'll bet he
is too he just needed some extra time at life he's like totally grown up now I bet." "Yeah! So what else do you like about Doyle?" "I love Doyle's Irish
accent and when he looks at me with those beautiful warm blue eye's of his. I always get lost in them and they always make me melt and my knee's turn to
jelly." "It's the same way when Angel looks at me with his Chocolate colored eye's."
"Yeah his accent is pretty sexy!" Buffy admitted. "I wonder why Angel doesn't have an accent I mean he's Irish like Doyle." "Well you know he's been around
for over two hundred years and has traveled a lot, but sometimes I can hear it whenever he talks softly." "You know what I think that you and Doyle make
a very cute couple in fact I think you two are soul mates just like Angel and I. Except for the whole forbidden love of all time that Angel and I use too
have" "Really. You and Angel make a cute couple too. I have never seen a guy look at a girl like how Angel looks at you it's amazing!" "Well Doyle looks
at you the same way I've noticed."
They went to 'Comtempo Casuals' and looked around that store Buffy and Cordelia were handing each other outfits to try on Cordelia gave Buffy some
skirts, shorts, halter tops, and tube tops and Buffy showed Cordelia some outfits they tried them on and bought a few of them for Buffy had two hundred
dollars left and Angel didn't want her to max out his visa card.
Buffy and Cordelia decided to stop for lunch when they found a place to eat they ordered there food and set down all there shopping bags on the floor. Cordelia said "You know Summers your actually pretty fun to shop with unlike my clones back in Sunnyhell." "Thanks Chase." "You do know that when your pregnancy starts too show that your going to have to get bulkier more lose fitting clothing. In fact your pregnancy is starting to show now." "Yeah I know but it's worth it," she said rubbing her tummy "it's worth it too be having Angel's child I've always dreamed of having his kids before it was just a fantasy but now it's for real the thing I really hate is the morning sickness" she finished patting her tummy were her and Angel's son or daughter was being held. "Are you going to find out if it's a boy or a girl?" "My doctor said that she'll be able to tell the baby's sex when I'm four months pregnant which means I have to wait one more months before I find out and if my dates are accurate the baby is going to be born on July 26." "Wow it's going to be a July baby huh?" "Yup!" Buffy's cellphone that Angel got her for Christmas went off she picked up her purse off the ground and took her cell out she turned it on and said "Hello?" (Pause) "Oh hi Dr. Lisa." "It's my Doctor." she told Cordelia. They talked for a while Cordy only heard Buffy's part of the conversation.
They talked about other stores they wanted to stop at they finished there
lunch and went to the Media Play at the mall Buffy picked up the latest album from Sarah McLachlan, Backstreet Boys' Millenium, NSYNC No Strings Attached,
and 98 degrees. Cordelia also bought NSYNC's No Strings Attached. Buffy bought a copy of Scream, Scream 2, Titanic wide screen, Romeo and Juliet,
Blair Witch Project, Can't Hardly Wait, Picture Perfect they placed the small bags in one of their bigger bags, they went to the Gap and Old Navy and
bought some more clothes. They stopped at a famous footwear and tried on almost all the shoes in the store since they were the same size shoes and
they bought some of the shoes they tried on.
Buffy said "My cash flow is drying up and Angel doesn't want me to Max out his Visa they carried all there bags out to Cordelia's convertable they had
like twenty or twenty-five bags and they got into her car and she started the engine Cordelia said "Is Angel going to pick you up at my place or does he
want me too drop you off at home, I dont know I'll call him." Cordelia started up the engine Buffy fished out her cellphone from her purse and
called Angel's cell number she waited for Angel to answer she said "Come on Angel pick up."
He answered and said "Talk to me." "Hay honey Cordy and I are done with our shopping and you forgot to tell me if Cordy's going to drop me off or if your
going to pick me up at her place?" "I guess I could pick you up at Cordela's apartment what time is it?" "I think it's 4:30" "Okay I'll see you how long?"
"In a few minutes." "Okay I love you." "I love you too." Buffy closed her phone and put it back in her purse.Buffy turned her cell off and closed it
and put it back in her purse Cordelia said "So were are you going to get dropped off?" "Your place Angel will pick me up at your place." "Okay"
Cordelia drove them to her apartment and Angel was already there Buffy said "See ya Cordy I had fun." "So did I." Buffy asked "okay who's bags are
who's?" "I think we put are names on our bags" they were able too tell who's bags are whose Angel helped Buffy load her bags into the backseat and trunk
of his car he said "You didn't Max out my credit card did you?"
She said "Oops" she grinned at the look on his face she couldn't help but giggle and handed him his Visa and money card "No honey I was good, did you
get your run all your erands?" "Yeah I did." "Dr. Lisa called while we were shopping today." "What did she say is the baby okay?" "Yes the baby is fine
but she wants to do my monthly appoinment today if it's okay with you that is?" "Yes it's fine when did she want too see you?" "7:45" "Ohh is there
anything else she said?"
Angel looked at his silver watch and said "5:00 P.M." "Do you want to head home until my appointment." "How about we head to thee beach and watch thee
sunset instead?" "Why cant we just stand on the roof of your building and watch the sunset I have to stay off my feet you know I am three months
pregnant you know." He looked at her with shock she said "Sorry mood swings." "It's okay, but if you want to head back thats okay until your appointment
thats okay." Angel drove them back too Angel Investigations he parked out in front of his company they went into his company and Kate was there when Angel
and Buffy walked in Angel said "Kate what are you doing here?"
She turned around and said "Angel" she then saw Buffy and they asked "Angel who is she?" Angel looked at the two women in his office he put his arm
around Buffy's shoulders and said "Oh right Buffy this is Kate, Kate this is Buffy" he looked lovingly at Buffy and said "my girlfriend." Buffy offered
Kate her hand and said "It's nice too meet you." Kate took her hand and said with a fake smile on her face "It's nice too meet you Buffy?" She then looked
at Angel and said "How come you never told me you had a girlfriend?" "We were broken up when I first moved here and then got back together over
Thanksgiving she was living in Sunnydale but then moved here three months ago and well she spent most of her life here in good old L.A. Now why are you
here?"
"I wanted you to help me with a case." "Sorry Kate I'm taking the rest of the night off to spend with Buffy besides we have an appointment with Buffy's
doctor at 7:45. Sorry her birthday is tomarow also." "How old is she 16, 17." Buffy glared daggers at Kate "I'm going to be nineteen in a month bitch!"
"She's right you know Kate." "She cant handle your lifestyle Angel but I can! Besides she's 18 right now how old are you twenty-five?" "Actually I'm
twenty-three and she might only be eighteen but age doesn't matter to me or us." Angel thought 'actually I'm 225 years older then her.'Buffy smirked and
got out of Angel's embrace "Listen sister I can handle his lifestyle with no problem. I'm the slayer for crying out loud I've faced his good side and his
evil side." "The slayer what is that sappose to mean?" "What I thought you knew about vampires Angel was one and I'm the vampire slayer only Angel had a
soul.... and he's not a vampire anymore." Angel put his arms back around her and said "honey dont say anything else." "What I thought she knew." Kate left
Angel Investigations they headed upstairs to the roof of his building to watch over the city were the sun was just setting over the ocean
Angel wrapped his arms around her waist and she bent her knee up they watched as
the sun setted over the ocean painting the sky into colour of reds and golds.
Cordelia told Angel that the gold and red is a result of all the
polution, but he still thought it was beautiful but nothing compared too the sunsets of
Ireland his mind traveled back to his life in Ireland the breathtaking sunsets and sunrises the lush green clean country side the snowy winters and
white Christmas' not to mention it's mild atmosphere he missed his home country an awful lot even though his love was here in the United States.
Buffy noticed he had a far off look in his eye's like he was in another place that wasn't Los Angeles or even California or even America. She looked at him
and said "Hay are you okay?" "Huh? Oh right." Angel came back to Los Angeles Buffy chuckled and said "Were did you go?" "I'm sorry baby I was back home in
Ireland." "Oh you really miss Ireland dont you honey?" "Yeah but if I was going back there I would take you with me. I want to bring you to Ireland
sometime and to Galway the town were I grew up and died or got changed. Oh my God that place has the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets I've ever seen I
remember how I use to always watch them well whenever it wasn't raining and not to mention the highest it's ever gotten there has been at least ninety
and the snowy winters and Christmas' the clean air and lush green countrysides the beautiful
cliffs."
He walked too another part of the roof "Even though back in the eighteenth century when I was mortal before I always dreamed of seeing the world I
remember telling Darla that the night she changed me and now that I have seen the world. Some nights I dream of moving back there with you of course."
"Really I would love to move there from what you've told me about Ireland it sounds like it's a very exquisite place." "It is calm, peaceful, clean,
beautiful sometimes after a rainfall theres been rainbows. Once I remember seeing two rainbows at the same time and of course my people believe in
Leperchans gold at the end of the rainbow most of my peoples myth's and legends consist of magic, faries, leperchans, magicians, dragons, you know
mystical creatures." "Yeah I know." "I wonder if it still is the same as I remember." Buffy approched him and wraped her arms around his waist and said
"It probilly still is."
Angel took the hand that had her claddagh ring on and stroked it with his thumb, "Buffy I never told you the real meaning of the Claddagh ring. It
doesn't just stand for devotion it actually stands for marriage to my people and in my country." "Marriage! Are you serious! I'm married too you I have
been for three years?" Buffy said bairly able to keep the excitement out of her voice Angel nodded happily to hear Buffy so excited about it "according
to the laws of my people and my country."
Buffy whispered slyly into his ear "I bought you a couple pairs of leather pants including some for myself." "Uh leather pants for yourself and me huh?"
"Yep!" "What time is it?" "7:30" Angel said kissing her neck and ear "We'd better head to the doctors." "Right lets go!" They went back downstairs too
'Angel Investigations' Angel grabbed his car key's and leather duster and Buffy said "Do I have time to change?" "If it's quick." Buffy ran downstairs
and went looking through her clothes she needed to get something that was lose fitting since she was noticing a small curve in her tummy she was
starting to show she put on a long blue silk dress loose fitting dress she reached for her black leather jacket on that Angel gave her so long ago.
Angel said "ready to go?" "Yeah when my pregnancy really starts to show I'm going to have to start wearing baggy jeans, overalls, and long baggy skirts.
I can't even fit in any of my favorite outfits anymore!" She complained "Baby you look beautiful in anything." He said "Buffy I'm afraid your going to have
to go to the doctors alone." "Why?" "Doyle just called he had a vision there are some homeless people getting attacked by a couple purple oozed demons
near a homeless shelter in downtown L.A. near the buisness district." "Well how am I sappose too get to the hospital." "You went to get your license last
week right?" "Yeah" "did you get it?" "Yeah." "You can take my car." "How are you sappose to get to the scene?" "I'll just take a bus it'll be an
adventure!" Angel tossed Buffy his car keys she smiled and said "Goody!" "Just dont crash my car okay baby!" Buffy couldn't help but giggle
"Dont worry you taught me how to drive! Your a good instructor!"
She kissed him and said "I'll tell you the news after my appointment." He kissed her and said "I cant wait," "Be careful." Buffy said concerned "You
know me." "Thats why I'm telling you to be careful." Buffy added Angel took her hand and kissed her sweetly he said "I love you!" "I love you too." He
kissed her and then left Buffy took the leather jacket that Angel gave her a long time ago she put it on and headed out to Angel's car she got into the
car the first thing she did when the engine was on was put the top down she pulled of the curb and then started towards the hospital.
Angel was fighting the group of purple oozed demons and was getting the upper
hand. He might be human but he was still able to kick bad guy ass pretty well just as well as he did when he was a vampire but of course he and Buffy have
done a lot of training together.
He took out a knife and stabbed a couple of them then he kicked some into a wall and they splated onto the wall like a bug he got purple slime all over
him and the wall, he screwed up his face and said "Arghh yuck I've never liked fighting slimy demons and this is one of my favorite outfits!" He
finished the rest of them off and went over too the homeless family he asked them if they were okay. They thanked him and Angel said "no thanks are
necesary it's my job." He felt charitable he wrote them a check and said "here's a check for a couple hundred dollars." They thanked him and left.
When he got back too his apartment he looked at his oozed clothing he said "showers here I come!" he saw that his car was still gone meaning that Buffy
was still with her doctor. He looked through the movies that she rented and decided to put in 'Cruel Intentions' he put it in pressed stop and changed
out of his oozed clothing and tossed them into the washer and put black silk boxers on and his black muscle shirt and sat down on the couch and pressed
play going past the previews and sat back and relaxed and watched the movie the Sarah Michelle Geller who played Katheryn looked like his beloved only
she was the exact oppisite of Buffy, Buffy was light and Katheryn was of darkness it made him think that this is what she'd be like if his demon got
what he wanted and made Buffy his dark goddess. He was very swept up in the movie it was very entertaining.
She arrived an hour later she couldn't wait to tell Angel what the doctor said. She headed downstairs smiling she saw Angel covered with slime she
asked "What happend too you?" "Well I got board with taking showers in water and decided to take a shower in ooze!" He said jokingly she laughed and said
"Funny!" "Remember I told you that I'm a funny guy." "Right seriously though why are you covered with ooze?" "I was fighting these purple oozed demons and
as a parting gift they left ooze on me!" "I can tell." "So how was your appointment. I have some great news to tell you!"
"I cant wait to hear it, but first I want to shower. Did you crash my car?" "Oops!" Buffy giggled and rubbed her body against his when she saw the look
on his face and said "I'm kidding Angel its in mint condition the same way it was when I took it!" Buffy reashured him and glidded seductively towards him
she placed her hand on his slimed chest and said "Want a little company?" "Oh I dont need company but I'll make an exception for you." She smiled and
pulled him into the bathroom.
A couple hours later they came out of the shower wet and wrinkly. Angel
noticed that the book that Buffy was reading was still on his coffee table, he picked it up and said "So this is what you were reading 'Valentine.'"
"Yeah it's about this guy who was getting even with four girls who harrased him in high school and he ended up killing a couple of them. Do you like
stories about revenge and horror? The main charicter in here is like your evil half sort of well when Angelus was inside of you anyway." "I prefer
books about history and classic stories."
"It sounds interesting, and guess what I have special birthday plans for you." "What?" "You'll just have to wait until Thursday to find out not to
mention I got a birthday gift for you that your probilly going to love."
Angel took a hold of her hands and said "So how did your appointment go?" "Like I said it was perfect, and I have some great news to tell you about the
baby!" They sat down together on the couch and Buffy took a hold of his hands and said "Well it appears that I'm having twins, two beautiful girls who are
going to be the center of attention!" Angel smiled and leaned over too kiss her and said "I'm really happy about that! Very happy, and how's there
health?" "There both nice and big growing perfectly and there both healthy."
