Unexpected Relations
Hi, I'm HeartSlayer. This is the first in my series Destiny's Wake. I love FeedBack, without it I don't get my inspirations. thanks, ENJOY! Summery: Darla hasn't given Angel 'happy' dreams, and Riley's an idiot, what more can I say, oh and also that Spike and Buffy thing never happened. I thought it was funny, but it would have messed up my story. A girl travels back in time from the future with an interesting story to tell.
Wesley sat at the front desk of the hotel looking through the morning paper. He was reading an article about a young girl, sixteen years of age, that saved a little five year old from an 'unidentified' being. It read that she didn't even touch the creature, but somehow she managed to throw it into a pile of garbage in an alleyway, where the attack was, and chop off it's head, then she disappeared. At the end of the article it said 'Cassandra's point of view' Cassandra was the little five year old. It's must have been a dream Wesley thought, But I should tell Angel about her.
As if on cue, Angel walked down the steps and into the lobby. "Any calls." He joked. Wesley smiled, and handed him the paper.
Pointing out the article he said, "It seems we may have a newcomer in town." Angel picked the paper up and read it.
"Sounds like a sorceress." He said flatly, and dropped the paper back on the desk. "From the looks of it, she's from the Falled clan. Their a peaceful people, they even send the young ones to a special sorcery school, she won't cause trouble."
"How can you be sure." Wesley asked, "It says here that she could throw a eight foot unidentified creature from one end of an alley to a garbage bin at the other end." he looked at Angel, who was in brood mode, "Angel, no sorceress of sixteen years could ever be able to do that." Angel moved away from the desk to sit in one of the chairs.
"She might have stolen them from one of the elders with a transference spell." Angel suggested, "Or an elder might have given the powers to her as a gift." He thought again. "Or..."
He was cut off by the doors of the hotel opening. He expected it to be Cordelia or Gunn, but instead a girl who looked about sixteen stepped in. She was wearing a simple striped t-shirt and blue denim flair jeans, with black _Nike_ runners. Her red hair came to them middle of her back and was parted to the right. "Or, she could have just been born with them." the girl filled in. Wesley and Angel watched her walk down the stairs into the lobby. Looking at their curious faces she said, "Hi, I'm Destiny. From the looks of your conversation you've heard of me already."
"Yea, I'm Angel and this is Wesley" gesturing to him.
"Hello, Destiny." Wesley said. "I'm Wesley Wyndham-Price." extending his hand to shake hers.
"Hey." she said, casually, taking his hand shaking it politely.
"Can I help you?" Angel asked, feeling an odd urge to protect this girl. He wasn't attracted to her, he just had a feeling that he was meant to keep her safe.
"I need some help getting some demons off my back." she told him. "I'm being tailed Falandroid Demons. A big army of them attacked my parents and my folks told me to go get help." her eyes dropped to the floor. "They died." she took a deep shaky breath and continued. "Now they're after me. They want to eliminate everyone in my family, and I'm the only one they have to kill."
"Who were your parents?" Wesley asked.
Destiny paused, she opened her mouth answer, but she was cut off by a huge crash. Everyone whipped around to see three Falandroid demons crash trough the door. Each was about seven feet tall and must at least weigh two hundred pounds each. "Hey!" Angel got from his chair as they spotted Destiny and started to advance toward her. "I just had the door fixed!" They just ignored him.
"Cas' toph ma'rati cah!" raising her arms toward the ceiling. "A macrice, hatuer, matie!" throwing her arms in front of as she said the last word. The little incantation did nothing but piss the demons off more, but she didn't panic, she just tried a different approach. "Goddess Thenseeka, work thy will!" her eyes started to glow, Angel and Wesley just looked on in awe as the sixteen year old girl started to perform a spell that should be used only by very experienced witches, "Send these unearthly creatures back to the depths of Hell. Be gone, I call it!" the demons started to glow red, as she glared at them, sending the curse towards them. As the light grew brighter, the creatures stopped their advance and looked around them at the light, then back at their target, they roared as they light took them over and they disappeared. When they were gone, Destiny's eyes went back to their normal hazel color, then she promptly passed out.
Angel caught her before she hit the floor, and picked her up. "I'm taking her upstairs to get some rest she must be really weak after doing that spell." he started to climb the stairs that led to the rooms. "You research any history on large Falandoid attacks, try and find out who this Destiny's parents are." then he disappeared into the hallway.
"Would be nice." he said evenly. She sat up and looked at him, trying to fight back tears that welled in her eyes, at what he was probably going to ask. He felt sorry for her, but he needed answers. "Who were you're parents." Her head that was bowed down now shot up to look him in the eyes. "I need to know if you want me to help you."
"You can't help me." she told him. He gave her a look. "You wouldn't understand anyway." she got up and went over to the sink, grabbing a glass, turning on the tap, she filled the glass.
"Try me." he said. She took a sip of the water, and made her way to the chair across from Angel.
"I'm not allowed to tell anyone. My parents told me to stop the demons from causing any damage. I'm only sixteen years old and I have this huge mission to stop an entire rase of demons from destroying the earth." Angel listened to her story, making metal notes of everything she said. "I know it sound really far fetched but..." she looked up at him. "My parents are alive right now, but if I don't stop this, they won't be in a matter of years."
"Who are they?" he asked again. He knew she was talking about time travel, and obviously she was from the future.
"I don't think you wanna know." she said laughing sadly. "You wouldn't believe me if I did tell you, anyway." she smiled him. "But, maybe if you guess I have a better chance at making you understand."
"Ok," he smiled back at her. "Give me some clues." he sat back watching her face.
"Alright." she thought a little for the best way to hint him. "I got my hazel eyes from my mother." Angel's statement changed from a smile to a disbelieving one. "I got my red hair from my fathers side." Now his face looked like one who had just seen a ghost (check out my humor). She met his gaze, "And right now my mom is in a town called Sunnydale, and my dad is sitting here right in front of me." Angel's mouth fell open.
"You mean..." she nodded. "I'm your dad?" he looked at her more closely, he noticed how much she looked like his love, and how much she resembled his own mother. "My mother had red hair." he said, as tears welled up in his eyes.
"Well, technically, I'm not born yet." Destiny said with a smile. "Mom told me a story when I was about eleven about you and her." she looked at the wall, but her thoughts were in her past. "She told me that she didn't think you guys would ever be together again. And that somehow you guys did, it was like destiny." a tear rolled down her cheek and she looked down at her hands. When she looked up at him tears were streaming down her cheeks. "Oh, daddy, I'm so scared." with that she started sobbing.
"Come here." he said, opening his arms to welcome her into them. She got up and sat on his lap, he promptly wrapped his strong arms around her shaking body, and he held her like that until nightfall.
'Rrring!' went the phone. It was about ten o' clock and Wesley was about to call Cordelia because she was late for work. Wesley had never answered the phone before, so he panicked, just then Cordelia walked through what used to be the door and ran to get the phone, panting she said the 'phone greeting' "Angel Investigations, we help the hopeless." she caught her breath while she listened to the person on the phone. "I think he's upstairs, do you want me to get him?" she listened to the person, "Ok, I'll be right back." she put the person on hold and started up the stairs.
"Who was that?" Wesley asked, as Cordy reached the second flight of stairs.
"Buffy." she tossed over her shoulder as she started to walk towards the elevator. The doors opened and she stepping in pressing the fourth floor button.
"Buffy's on the phone, it sounds urgent." she told him. This surprised him.
"What does she want?" he asked.
"I don't know." Angel walked past her and toward the elevator. "I put her on hold, line one." she called.
"Ok." he said. "Watch the girl in there, if anything changes come and get me, I'll be right back." then the elevator doors closed.
Cordy just shrugged, "New client." she said, and walked into the room, shutting the door behind her.
"She fell asleep, Cordy's watching her right now." he then pressed 'hold'. "Hello." he said into the phone. "Faladroid demons?" pause. "Are you sure. Because we..." pause. "Yea, she's here at my place, her name's Destiny." pause. "If you want to. I already asked her all those questions." pause, "Ok. It's the old hotel that..." pause, "Oh, you know. Ok." pause, "Yea, see you in a few hours." with that he hung up the phone.
"What's going on?" Wesley asked.
"Buffy's coming to L.A. to talk to Destiny." Angel paused. "Destiny is my daughter." Wesley looked completely shocked.
"What?" he asked, "How can she be your daughter. She's sixteen years old."
"Her mother and I sent her back in time to stop the Falandroid demons from killing us all." he paused, "Her mother is Buffy."
"Oh my Lord." Wesley muttered. "Are you going to tell Buffy when she gets here?" Angel shook his head. "I think she has the right to know, don't you?" Angel's jaw tightened.
"I don't know how to tell her." Angel said evenly. "It's not every day you find out that one day you and the love of your life are indefinitely going to be together." Angel turned around and leaned his back on the desk. "It's just too complicated."
"Maybe Destiny could tell her, and make it easier on you." Wesley suggested. "Because either way she'll find out, and if you don't tell her now, you and I both know she won't be very happy she wasn't told sooner." the truth hurts, but it had to be said.
"There's no sense in worrying about it until she gets here." with that he headed towards the stairs again. Then stopped, "Wesley, do you think I should tell her as soon at she gets here, or after she's talked to Destiny?"
"The sooner the better." he replied.
"Right, thanks." then he turned around and walked up the second flight of stairs and into the hallway.
"Can we put on something different?" Riley whined, then winced when Buffy started to sing louder. "Please, honey."
"Fine." Buffy said, taking out her Britney Spears C.D. , which she only bought to piss Riley off, and put in her Backstreet Boys one. She like them. Switching it to track one, she sat back and looked out the window. God, she hated when he whined at her like that. She also hated how he had that annoying hatred of Angel. Maybe he found our that I don't really love him... Sarah thought. Nah, he's too dense. Grabbing her _Twist_ magazine, she started to flip though it.
"Buffy." Riley said, trying to get her attention.
"Hmm?" she acknowledged. Not looking up from her magazine.
"If I was split in two, like Xander was, which one would you rather be with?" he asked, they passed a '59 Los Angeles' sign, and he swore he caught Buffy's face brighten. Then she looked at him. What am I supposed to say to him? I've already lied to him so much already. "Um, I really don't know. I mean, you don't really have a splittable personality." To put it lightly. She added to herself.
"Oh." Riley said, "What's that supposed to mean. That I have no good side and bad side?" he glanced over at her, then back to the road.
"No, no, nothing like that. It's just you have all good qualities." she lied again. She hated lying to him, but he was cover-up for her feeling towards Angel. If you took him away, she would be all broody and depressed over Angel again.
"Really, thanks." he said, with a proud smile on his face. All good qualities. Beat that Angel, he thought to himself.
Buffy felt like rolling her eyes. She could just imagine what he was thinking at that moment. Dream on Fish Boy. You better then Angel? Give me a break. To get her mind off him, she started thinking about Destiny, the young sixteen year old girl that Giles had sent her here on a mission for. In the word of Giles she was to go to L.A. and find out as much information as possible about this girl. She suppressed a sigh, also she had to keep Angel from killing Riley. She looked out the window as they came closer to civilization.
When they reached the address that Giles had given her, she opened the car door and started toward the front door of the old hotel. She had heard from Giles that his old apartment and office was blown up, that thought made her smile slightly. When she realized that Riley wasn't following behind her like a lost puppy dog she turned around. He was just standing at the car looking like he was scared or something. She sigh heavily, "Riley!" she yelled exasperated, "I promise, Angel won't rip you limb from limb." she turned back around and started toward the front door again, and suppressed a giggle when she saw the totally trashed door. Looking up, she saw that the lobby was empty, "Hello!?" she called. "Angel?" she walked up to the front desk and saw the note, it read:
Buffy,
We're upstairs, room 412.
Wesley.
She turned toward the door and saw Riley walk in. "Stay in the lobby, I'll be back in a little while, and don't touch anything." she said the last part before she disappeared from his site. Now that he couldn't see her anymore, she could start thinking aloud. "Why did Giles have to send me here?" she asked herself for about the millionth time until she reached the elevator doors. She press the up button and waited. "Gees, what am I getting myself into?" When the elevator dinged, and the doors opened, she nearly fell over when Angel was standing behind them.
"Hey, you're here earlier then I thought." he said, trying with all his might to keep his voice steady. "Going up?" he joked.
"Angel, you made a funny." she said as she stepped into the elevator, then looked up at him in mock concern, "Are you feeling alright?" he just laughed and press the fourth floor button. "Now I know I'm dreaming. Did you take a happy pill this morning?" Then caught herself, "You didn't right?" she said worriedly.
"No." he said trying to keep from laughing again, and also trying to keep from pulling her into his arms and never letting go. He hadn't seen her in such a long time. "Destiny's asleep right now. She's been running away from a big gang of Falandroid demons for a long time, and exhaustion caught up with her." he said it in his 'way' and Buffy was getting suspicious.
"Do you know who she actually is?" Buffy asked. Angel's head shot up, looking into her eyes, he said, "She's from the future, she was sent here to stop the gang of Falandroid demons from gaining enough power to destroy them, but the demons have found a way to block any power she throws at them, with the excaption of just sending them to Hell, but that takes a lot of energy." Buffy looked at him expecting more info, "We are her parents, Buffy." her eyes widened in shock, followed by a long moment of awkward silence, 'ding', went the elevator.
"Ssh." Buffy tried to soothe her, "Ssh, baby, it's only a dream, I'm right here." she placed her hand of Destiny's forehead, finding a fever, she gently shook her. "Destiny, sweetheart, mommy's right here." she gently shook her again, and this time Destiny bolted up and into her mothers embrace, sobbing uncontrollably.
"Mommy. You're alive, I thought you died, it's all my fault, I'm so sorry." she muttered in a barely audible voice.
"Ssh, I'm right here, and I not going to let anything happen to you." Buffy reassure her. She just met this girl, but knowing that she was her daughter and the instant protective concern made her go all mothery.
Cordelia spook up and Buffy continued to rock her daughter in attempt to calm her, "She was crying out something about not wanting to go. And what's with this mommy stuff? Did I miss something?" she asked.
Angel decided to explain, since Buffy was a little busy, "Destiny was sent back in time to stop an army of demons from taking over, you know those demons from downstairs."
"What about the mommy daddy stuff?" Angel gave her a 'look', "Oh, okay, no need to explain." she looked back at Destiny, whose sobbing finally subsided, "Poor kid." then she took Wesley's hand and said, "Come on, lets leave them alone." and they walked out of the room an shut the door.
Angel sat down beside Destiny and Buffy on the bed. Destiny had pulled back from Buffy and was now sitting between her and Angel, "We need to figure out how to kill these demons. I mean, I can't keep doing that spell, because every time I do, I always get really weak, or I just pass out on the spot." she flashed a weak smile.
"We will find a way to get them off your back, but right now, we need to know more about what our future selves wanted you to do." Buffy told her.
"Um, you guys wanted me to stop the Falandroid demons from growing so strong that they defeated you guys. Also I had to find Mr. Keltestkie and he was supposed to help me, but the demons killed him." She looked Buffy in the eye. "You wanted me to find your past self and get some help with combat, but without letting you know about the future. She said if you did, then it would mess everything up." she gave a small laugh and looked down at her lap again, "I guess it's too late to stop that."
"Tell me about your powers." Buffy said, trying to be gently, but needing to know more.
"Uh, I was born with them. They started out with just the normal stuff like simple magic without the illusion and I could move objects with my mind." she paused, then continued, "Then when I turned eleven they started to grow stronger at a really fast rate, I didn't have to use incantations anymore, even though I do sometimes, and I could set something on fire with just a simple flick of the wrist." she swallowed, "I really wanted to go to sorcery school, to learn more about my powers. But I wasn't part of any clan, so the Sorcery United University wouldn't let me in." she laughed weakly. "The day you guys finally got me into the school, was the day the demons attacked."
"It's getting late, I should go downstairs to see it Gunn's here." he started to get up, when Buffy stopped him, "What?"
"Nothing. It's just that Riley insisted on coming with me and I couldn't cut him loose without a good reason, so he ended up coming. And I know how much you really hate him." Buffy explained. "Besides. I need to go make a phone call, I'll see if Gunn is there." she paused. "Who's Gunn?"
"He's my street contact." Angel told her, without making eye contact. It was just too hard to look at her the same way after seeing the big oaf she's with now.
"Oh, so he's the person that lets you know what's been happening where you can't be?" she asked.
"Yeah." he said, and got up, and headed toward the door. "You should get some more rest Destiny, I be right back. There's a phone up here, you have call whoever you have to." with that he walked out.
Buffy made an irritated noise, and said, "Sometimes he makes me so mad." she got up and walked toward the phone. "I don't know how I ever was able to put up with him." she picked up the phone, but froze when Destiny spoke.
"What would you say if I told you I could make Angel human?" Buffy's breath caught, and she turned toward her. "I think I could perform the spell to make him human, but keep enough demon in him to make his strength stay." she met Buffy's eyes.
"Y-you can do that?" she asked. Buffy thought she would explode with joy, but there had to be a catch.
Destiny nodded, and got up off the bed. Buffy watched as she did a little gesture with her hand and a small book bag appeared on the bed. She reached in and grabbed a very old looking leather-bound book with the title Book of Sorcery. "I'm pretty sure that the spell is in this one." she muttered. Buffy's already saucer-wide eyes grew wider when the book flew up to eye-level with Destiny. "I'm looking for the Ritual of Uncondemnation." she told it. Then the book opened to a page that said Ritual of Uncondemnation on the top of the page. "Ah ha." she said happily, and grabbed the book out of the air.
Buffy was going to ask how she did that, but remembered that she was a sorceress, so that was doable for her. "Is that it?" she asked dumbly, still coming out of the shock that this young girl could bring her and Angel back together.
"Yeah. This is a bit difficult, but it can be done." she stuck a piece of construction paper in to mark the page, then stuck it back in the bag, and it promptly disappeared after another gesture of her hand. "I need a few things from a magic shop, do you know where one is?" she asked.
Downstairs, Angel and Riley weren't fairing so well. Angel was trying to keep from kicking the living crap out of Riley and Riley was trying to keep from running like a sissy boy. Cordelia was surfing the web for ways to kill the Falandroid demons and Wesley was researching the demon is some of his old books. Everyone was silent and still. Just then Gunn walked trough the mangled door and yelled, "Hey, you call I come, what's the bad tonight?" he walked down the front steps. "And what's wit your door, man?" he said glancing back. "Okay, who died?"
Angel snapped out of his fantasy of chopping Riley's head off and sticking of a pike, "Oh, Gunn. Hi." he got up off the chair and walked toward the desk, he picked up a piece of paper and handed to him, " This is a Falandroid demon. It sucks creatures brains out, and a whole gang of them are after my client."
"That is one bug ugly demon, man." Gunn observed. "Who's the damsel is distress this time." he asked looking up at Angel. Angel paused.
Just then Destiny walked down the steps, followed by Buffy. Everyone in the room turning toward them. Destiny had changed into a blue tank top and black flair jeans. "I need to go out to get some things." Destiny said while walking toward the front door.
Angel shot a confused look at Buffy. She shrugged a said, "Don't look at me, I don't know a thing." she would have told him, but Destiny had told her not to. She could hardly believe it, that this sixteen year ld girl, who technically doesn't exist yet, could make Angel human. It's all seemed to good to be true.
"Do you need a ride to where ever you're going." Angel asked.
"Nope." She answered, and she faded away.
"Teleportation." Gunn said, "very cool."
"Shut you mouth, before I put I fist in it." Buffy threatened.
"May I." Angel mumbled. He had meant to say it really quiet so no one would hear him, but Buffy did, and she shot him a look, even though inside she was very willing to let him. Angel was looking through one of Wesley's old books to see if there was any way to kill these things, even though Buffy kept insisting that she could just chop off their heads.
She walked over to him and looked over his shoulder, that was a very big mistake, clearing her throat softly she asked, "Find anything?" Angel glanced up at her, then back to the book.
"Um, it says that there isn't any special way to kill them. But they take care of there own kind, so that means that if one dies then the rest get really pissed." he turned the page, where he found a more detailed sketch of the demon.
"Eew, that's a Faladroid demon, I wonder if it ever heard of a facial?" she cracked. Glancing at her watch she stated, "Destiny should be back by now." she found herself glancing at the door every two minutes, when she realized this she suppressed a laugh, she already had motherly protection for the girl.
"Yo, guys. I think I found something." Gunn announced. He had been looking through The Book of Kelsor (yes the Morah demon one) and he found out a spell to zap their energy and use it against them.
"What did you find?" Buffy asked, beating Angel to it, they still thought alike, even after months and months of seperation.
"It's a spell, I think." Buffy walked over to where he was sitting. He pointed it out to her saying, "It says that the spell will suck power from the demon so you can use it against it." Buffy read over the spell.
"It doesn't look very complex compared to what Willow normally does, I'll give her a call." she walked toward the phone on the desk.
"Um, isn't Destiny supposed to be a sorceress?" Cordelia asked. "Because why drag Will all the way over here, if we have our very own sorceress?"
"Good point. By the way, where is that sorceress."
"You paged?" A voice came out of no where, then Destiny appeared beside Buffy, almost making her jump out of her skin. "Hey mom." she dropped a small plastic bag in the desk. "Ingredients for a Human Angel." she announced.
"Excuse me?" Angel asked, shocked. "Did you just say..."
"Yeah. I found a spell to make you human, but keep a little bit of the demon in you so you keep your strength and healing abilities." she explained proudly. "Aren't you glad you guys forced me to go back in time?" she started to pull the contents out of the bag.
"Um, excuse me Red." Gunn said, getting up and walking toward her, "Are you sure you know what your doing, I don't want to end up working for a frog or a gnat."
"Relax, I know what I'm doing." Destiny tossed over her shoulder. "Just think, if I didn't know what I was doing why would I have been able to stay invisible and listen to your conversation?" she gave a small smile.
"Very smooth." Gunn said.
Angel got up off his chair, "Now, let me get this straight... You are going to do a spell that'll make me human, what about the prophecy?"
"Oh that..." Destiny paused.
"What prophecy?" Buffy asked. They all looked at her.
"Why have you come to us Warrior?" Buffy2 asked.
"I came to ask if this spell will disrupt my destiny?" Angel asked, producing a piece of paper and showing to them.
"This ritual will not disrupt your destiny in any way, you will maintain your powers so it doesn't interfere in any way." Angel2 said.
"Now, go, Angel, and be with your love." she waved her hand in a circle and cloud surrounded him.
When Angel walked in the door everyone in the room looked up. Buffy was the one that asked the million dollar question of the moment, "What did they say?" she asked anxiously.
"It's okay to do the spell." he stated, with a smile. Buffy let out a squeal of happiness and ran over to him, throwing her arms around him.
"Oh Angel, we can finally be together." she whispered. He smiled and hugged her back.
When she pulled back he asked, "What happened to Riley?"
"Oh, he went exploring in the hotel somewhere, maybe he got lost." she said., then she turn toward Destiny. "Can we do the spell now?" she asked, smiling broadly as Angel slipped his arms around her waist. Finally was the only thought that remained in her mind as she leaned back into him.
"Uh, yeah, ready when you are." she said. Trying hard to suppress the smile that threatened to show at seeing her parents act like they do in her time, and not like they could keep their hands off each other.
"I'm ready." Angel told Destiny.
"Me too." Buffy said.
"Okay." Destiny started to push the couch and chairs towards the wall, Buffy, Angel, Gunn, and Wesley helped her.
Once the floor was clear she started to set up the candles in a five-pointed star. She put the ingredients in a small boll and started to mix them with a stone mixer thingy. "So what am I supposed to do?" Angel asked, as Destiny started to sprinkle the crushed herbs into a symbol in the middle of the candles (not yet lit).
"Okay, that's done." she said dusting off her hands, she put the bowl and mixer back into the bag, "Okay, Angel you stand right here." she led him to the middle of the candles of one side of the symbol, and she stood of the other side, they were about three feet apart. "Okay, when I close my eyes, you close yours and keep them closed though the whole thing, don't think about the sounds or flashbacks that appear around you, got it?"
"Yeah." Angel affirmed
"Okay here we go." she put her hands in front of her with the palms up as if she were going to receive something from Angel. Closing her eyes, she began to chant. "Not dead, nor not of the living. Spirits of the interregnum I call." she paused and threw her head back to face to ceiling. "Pertu matolla!" she yelled, that means give me power (I made it up). She faced Angel again. "Let the power be in me, the vessel, let the power of the vessel flow like the wind though the receiver." she through her head back again. "Pertu matollacka!" she yelled, which means give me great power, then faced him again. "The vessel calls! The demon be banished! Let the receiver have no evil!" she raised her hands to the ceiling. "Cestons parrotez, lockorotee!" she chanted, her voice growing louder. "Idestisalla! Pertu matollackoll!" a ball of light started to appear her hands. "Let the demon be banished, let the evil be gone!" she brought the ball down in front of her to come to chest level with Angel. "Let the evil be gone!" she said again, and thrust the ball into his chest.
Angel hollered in pain, and collapsed to the floor, followed by Destiny.
"There's a chance that he's a bit out of it." Destiny said. "His body has been through a lot, so his mind is just catching up."
"What's goin on? One minute I'm sleeping, then the next, I wake up with a headache the size of Dublin." he was now talking in his Irish brogue.
"Angel do you remember what happened?" Cardelia asked, coming into view.
Just then Angel's memories came back to him. Moaning with pain he said, "Did it work?" he asked. Everyone looked at him, he was talking with an American accent now. "Did the spell work?"
Buffy's brilliant smile was enough answer for him, "Yeah," she told him, "it worked." he grinned mischievously at her, raising himself up he pulled her to him, and they engaged in a passionate kiss.
"Oh my God, please get a room." catching herself she said, "Before you answer that, I correct myself." then she grabbed Wesley and Destiny and they left the room.
Buffy pulled away, and they both gasped for air. "I really missed you." she said, kissing him again.
"You have no idea how much I missed you." he answered. They kissed for a while longer then Buffy sat up and checked the burn on his chest, which he just realized was there, and he was shirtless. Hissing in pain he asked, "Where did that come from?"
"Um, it was from the spell. The bolt of primal power burned you a bit." she picked up a cold cloth and spread it over the burn, he hissed, but the cloth helped somewhat.
"So what's going to happen now?" he asked. It didn't take a genius to figure out what he was talking about.
"I don't know. But first off I'm dumping that foolish excuse for a man that's known at Riley Finn." she smiled and removed the cloth to get it wet again, she was about to put it back on but he stopped her.
"No, it's ok. I fine now. I guess this proves that I still have my healing powers." he sat up. Her eyes widened at the muscle the ripped with that simple movement, he had been working out. He suppressed a smile when he caught her staring at his torso. "Can you get me a drink of water?" he asked.
She snapped out of it and said, "Yeah, sure." she got up ans walked over toward the sink. Now it was Angel's turn to stare, but he was staring at her legs, he cocked his head in an admiring pose, then mentally kicked himself Stop acting like a hormonal teenager. He got up and slipped on his shirt. She returned with his water ,"Here you go." she said, and he accepted it.
"Thanks." he took a sip and put the glass on the night stand, then buttoned out his shirt. "Where did Riley go anyway." he looked up at her.
"I don't know." she said, then moved to stand in front of him. "Does it matter?" she asked.
"No, I guess not." he said, and she lowered her head and captured his lips in a passionate kiss. He placed his hands on her hips to draw her closer. He got up off the bed, and picked her up, she wrapped her legs around his waist, and they fell onto the second bed that was in the room.
"Can I go home now?" she asked. She was from the future, but she was about to be conceived, so she wanted to get out of there before then.
"We will return you to your own time now. Thank you for coming." the male said. And with a wave of his hand she disappeared into a cloud of fog.
"I sure Destiny'll find a way to say goodbye to her folks." Gunn reassured her. "Besides, it would be kind of rude, leaving with out telling them about it."
"Gunn's right." Wesley agreed. He sighed and looked up, "Are they ever coming down from there?" he asked. "It's been two and a half hours."
"Wesley, when you've known these crazy kids as long as I have, then you know exactly what they're doing up there." she went back to an article about a singer she hated a lot going bankrupt.
"Mmm." Buffy moaned. "That was nice." she said contentedly.
He chuckled. "Yeah." he agreed.
"I have classes tomorrow." she said, not wanting to ruin the mood, but it had to be said. "So I should leave soon."
"Yeah, I know." he held her tighter. "Don't go." he whispered. "I'll miss you too much."
"I don't have any classed after my English class today tomorrow. Maybe you could come to Sunnydale." she raised her head from it's spot on his chest, flashing him a smile.
"I'll see what I can do." he told her with one of his sexy half smiles that always made her melt.
"I love you." she reached up and kissed him softly on the mouth.
"I love you too. Like I always have and always will." and they started to kiss again, and I can't tell you what happens next because I'm trying to make this story only PC-13. I can tell you that after they were finish and were dressed Destiny appeared and they had a very emotional goodbye, and one week Angel and Buffy got engaged and they found out that she was pregnant, and they live Happily Ever After.
