Feverish
I decided to answer one of my challenges because I was
having trouble with what to do for the next part in the series. For Kirsty and Kerry for giving me the
proof I needed to get rid of my cheating bastard of an ex- boyfriend (I'm not *that* bitter)
Basically Buffy is ill and Angel has to look after her and I'm using A mirror, 10 red roses, A phone ringing,
I turn to you by Christina Aguilera and the film cruel intentions. I really hate this one but since Forever
love is going no where it will have to do. Any ideas on how to improve this are very welcome.
Buffy was curled up on the sofa in her living room
wrapped in a pale blue robe and had a box of tissues on her lap. She was watching Cruel intentions and was
thinking for the 10th time that hour why her mother had had to choose that week to go on an art
convention.
Just then the door bell rang and Buffy groaned before getting up and making her way to answer it. On the way
she caught site of herself in the mirror over the fireplace and groaned again, she really needed to
sought her hair out. Opening the door she smiled when she saw Angel standing on the doorstep with 10 red
roses in his arms.
"Hey." Angel said bending to give Buffy a kiss on the cheek. "How are you feeling?"
"Horrible." She replied following him into the kitchen where he'd gone in search of a vase for the roses.
"Well, I thought that since it was half my fault you got sick I'd come and look after you." Buffy smiled
remembering the night that they had decided against their better judgement to go skinny-dipping in
Weatherly parks lake and as a result Buffy had caught a cold.
"That's so sweet." Buffy said reaching up and giving him a hug. "I'm watching cruel intentions, Want to
join me?" Angel finished putting the roses in the vase and put them in the centre of the table, took Buffy's
hand and followed her into the lounge and sat on the sofa before pulling her into his lap.
Buffy hit the play button and they watched in silence as Sebastian gave Annette the backpack and Kathryn
phoned to check his progress in the bet.
Angel frowned slightly before saying "She looks exactly like you only with darker hair." Buffy looked
at the screen and shrugged "Never noticed." They watched the rest of the film in silence and when it
finished put MTV on where Christina Aguilera's I turn to you was playing. And proceeded to spend the next
hour making out. They were only interrupted once by the phone ringing which turned out to be Xander
wanting to know if Buffy had finished with Cruel intentions and if he could borrow it.
Buffy rolled her eyes and told Xander she would bring it round the next day. She then hung up and went back
to spending the rest the night in Angel's arms.
