Disclaimer: These characters belong to Joss, and only Joss. But the plot is my own talent.
Rating: PG-13
Note: As much as I liked Doyle, he doesn't need to be in this fanfic. Also, I don't like Connor, so NO CONNOR. I have also presented you a new character to the bunch.

It has been 7 years since Angel last saw Buffy. He is very lost in his own world of words that he would love to say to her, but has failed. He's redemption of becoming human has already happened. He was saving his humanity for Buffy's happiness but in the process decided it would be too hard for him to put Buffy's life in danger, nor her friends.

In Buffy's own little world at the hellmouth, she is wondering about Angel. She has not heard from him in 7 years. And, that is too long. She often questions herself, What is Angel doing? Is he alright to the fullest extent? Is Angel thinking of me at this very moment? The questions could only be answered if she took the time to find it out herself.

The truth was Angel had moved to Los Angeles to be locked into his own prison that he had created to stay away from Buffy. Except, he had not created a prison in his mind to block his thoughts of her. He now has Cordelia, Wesley, Gunn, Fred, and a newbie, Lexy. Angel has now been in the world 253 years, it was hard without Buffy by his side. He thought of her every second he could.

Buffy was still on the path of creating a life again after her death. Even after 14 years after her horrible death, she still had alot that puzzled her. She needed Angel. She wanted Angel with every inch of her body and soul.

Buffy had decided that seeing him was the only medicine for her loneliness.

She traveled to L.A. in search of her lost love that left her so many years ago. What is going on with Angel I wonder? She kept asked herself.

Once she arrived at "Angel Investigations," nothing could hold her back from seeing Angel. She stepped inside of the building and there he sat on a sofa reading a book to pass the time.

Angel heard the door close and looked up. There she was--Buffy. Long, flowing blonde hair he wished he could touch and smell. The small petite figure that made him more passionate to love her. And the soul that was longing for her true love.

"Buffy." He finally spoke.

"Hey. How are you?"

"I'm alright. You?" Angel asked worried.

"Good. Um...Angel. I know that you weren't expecting me, but I had to see you."

"Is something wrong?"

"No! No, there's nothing wrong. I just had to see you. It's been a while." Buffy said with her saddening face.

"Almost 7 years." Angel said while the pain of the time had struck him hard.

"Yeah. 7 years."

Buffy needed to be held by his secure arms one more time. To smell his scent and touch his spiky hair once more just to see if change had set in.

Angel needed to touch her like *NOW*. He was missing that small, fragile body being held by him. That he could devour every part of her if she let him. He needed her so much it almost made him break down right there and then. He worshipped her.

"One of us has to speak here." Buffy finally broke the silence between the two.

"I'm sorry." Angel apologized.

"What for?"

"For not trying to contact you. I've been thinking about you alot lately. I just can't seem to get you out of my head." Angel confessed.

"Yeah, me too. Angel, the truth of the matter is...I need you. Your memories have been racing through my mind so much lately that I seem to think that you're really there in Sunnydale. Always been there." Buffy said with a knot in her throat.

Then all of a sudden a person appeared from the stairs, Lexy.

"Hey Angel I need some help." Lexy said, then noticing that he had company. "Oh, I see we have a guest."

"Oh, um...Lexy this is Buffy. Buffy this is Lexy. She's new around here." Angel introduced them.

"Oh my God. THE Buffy. You mean the one...oh my God. It's such a pleasure to finally meet you. Can I have your autograph?" Lexy said histerically.

Buffy couldn't help but laugh. "Listen Angel, you can help me with the boxes later." Lexy said and finally walking back upstairs.

"So, I guess you have been saving souls. Not just your own." Buffy said looking down at the floor, not able to look at him.

Angel was burning not being able to touch her. "Yeah, but I still have Cordy, Wesley, Gunn, and Fred. There just not here right now. Only Lexy. Were trying to settle her in the environment of Angel Investigations."

"Oh. That's interesting. What does she contribute to the gang?" Buffy had to ask.

"Powers. Very strong powers. She's like a witch, just more powerful I guess you could say."

"Oh, I see." Buffy finally had the courage to look at him with the most soulish green eyes that Angel ever saw in her.

"Buffy, I...I guess I should tell you the news." Buffy looked at him with the most incredible sense of longing. "I became human a year ago--finally. I was wanting to tell you as soon as my heart started beating except I couldn't. I couldn't just show up on your doorstep and announce that I finally have my humanity."

"Wait...your human?" Buffy said flabbergasted.

"Yes." Angel answered short.

"Why the hell didn't you tell me?!" Buffy yelled at the top of her lungs.

"As I said, I couldn't just come down and say, *HEY I AM HUMAN AGAIN. COME BACK TO ME BUFFY*"

"Yes, you could! Or what? You just wanted to be all...good and proper?" Buffy questioned him, breathing heavy now. She is frustrated with him hiding this information from her.

"I'm sorry. I handled the situation badly." Angel admitted.

"Yeah, I guess you did. I know that you didn't mean anything by it. But, what you just told me...it means alot to me. I would've never guessed." Buffy said very lovingly.

Angel couldn't stand it no longer. He had to pull her into his arms and kiss her.

"Does this mean..." But before Buffy could get it out of her mouth, Angel kissed her with the deepest longing ever put in mankind. He travels down to her neck. Buffy groans.

"Angel..." Buffy manages to get out.

Angel picks Buffy up and Buffy wraps her legs around him. They travel to Angel's office. He shuts the door and closes the blinds while they're passionately kissing one another without taking a breath.

He sets her on the desk, immediately stripping her peasant top off. They kiss more deeply now. They finally stop and think about what they're doing.

"Angel." Buffy says looking at him with these deep green eyes. He looks at her and he has to just touch her.

Buffy kisses Angel. She takes her hands exploring Angel's muscular back. She pulls his sweater off of him. Then, he lifts her again and falls to the floor. Only the moaning is significant to what is going on now.

Buffy awakes. She sees a clock over on the wall. It says 3:00 AM. She looks over to her left, and there is Angel smiling at her.

"Hey." Angel says.

"Hey yourself." Buffy says smiling back at him.

"Sleep well?"

"Perfectly. How about you?"

"Wonderful." They kiss.

"So, what are we going to do now?I mean what is the next step." Buffy had to ask.

"I don't know." Angel had to admit.

"You don't know? Well, then I guess that I'll never know. Usually you're the one with the brain since you've been living for over two centuries now." Buffy giggled a little.

"Oh well, play your cards right...you'll be just as intelligent as me."

"In my dreams. You know more about the world than I do."

Angel then gently started to stroke her hair feeling how soft and silky it was. While Buffy was enjoying every minute of it, soaking every bit of the love from Angel she could get.

"But, we'll make it work right. I mean...what happened to you changes everything. So, it changes *us*."

Angel loved hearing Buffy saying us.

"I love you." Angel said.

"I love you too." They kiss.

END.
